    How heavy are the Red Bulls? Am anxiously waiting for the post qualifying weights. I would say they would be one of the heaviest if not the heaviest cars on the grid and they will clear the cars in front as the race goes on. Raikkonen looks good starting from where he is, he has pretty much always gone well at this track. Talking about championship and contenders, we seem to be over looking the Brazilian starting from fourth on the grid. He is the closest to Button in the championship race, and if he has a good get away from the grid, he could well win his second straight race with Red Bulls coming in behind him. It's about time Button has a race where he scores no points. He should have had a few by now but has some how managed to get away with it. Where has Force India found this pace from! He might have taken pole on fumes, but he was one of the quickest cars in Q2.

    Mclaren are pretty much where they should have been on this track. Looks more and more likely that the Alonso-Ferrari announcment is now only a matter of time and it might even happen by the next race. Raikkonen, for the first time has admitted to being in talks with other teams. Ferrari might just announce Alonso, and then wait to see if Massa can race again next year before deciding who will partner Alonso.

    Later
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    Wonder what the odds on Toyota, winning it's first F1 GP would have been before qualifying. They look in great shape, going by the declared weights. One has to go down as far as 8th place to Vettel, to find a car heavier than the Toyota of Trulli, which is on the front row. Raikkonen has the magic button and he will put it to good use tomorrow. Whether he decides to use it right at the start or later in the lap remains to be seen. All looks set for a great race, one where, Button hopefully will not score and see his championship lead cut significantly.

    @genius83

    I read some where that Webber was on his 7th engine too. The question why other Renault engines have not had the same problem. Well, it's quite obvious now that it's not a faulty mechanical part which came in this batch. There are so many factors that affect an engine, for starters, how the cooling is. Newey makes great fast cars but very delicate cars. Second is how it is in a car and how it's driven. Going over a curb too hard for example would make some cars have problems resulting in over revving and thought they are limited now to a certain amount of revs, going up to the limit every few times during a lap or race does do damage to the car eventually. I don't know how many engines the Renault drivers have gone through so far. Without it, one cannot make a fair comparison.

    @Shehryaar

    Looks like your guy is in good shape for tomorrow's race s o good luck for the race.

    Yes, I also read that about Webber but the positive thing is Webber have all engines with some life in it even the one that has been changed after Practice Session 3 yesterday as that engine only has some exhaust problems and it is not a blown engine.

    Well one thing you have to agree that this is the most exciting and shocking qualifying session of this season. About your question that How Force India could do that I think the answer is by force. But jokes aside looks like all the lower midfield cars have setup the cars perfectly then the front runners, and specially considering Rubens was lightest of all the top ten it is an excellent performance by the lower midfield cars. Just look at the top ten both BMW's, both Toyota's, are there one Force India makes to Q3 the other narrowly misses. Last 5 races 5 different winners may be a new winner in this race from any of 3 out off top 4 drivers. The first 2 rows are been held by drivers in their 30's.

    Now here is the possible first pitstop for all the drivers for Belgian GP, calculations are been done by me.

    What i have read so far about the predicted pitstops is pretty different from what you have posted. I will go by what you have posted because that is a much more authentic source. I have Barrichello piting on lap 10/11. Your source has him going as far as lap 15! Fisichella lap 11 max, while your source is showing him on lap 13, Trulli lap 13 and possibly 14, your chart showing him go as far as lap 16. Heidfeld lap 13, your chart shows lap 15,Kubica lap 11 while you have him in on lap 13, Rakkonen lap 13, you have him on lap 15. Webber 14 and Vettel 15, you got them at 16 and 18 respectively. Hope that is the case

    In a 44 lap race, the pitstop windows put up by you make more sense and come from a reliable source, Williams F1. I am just quoting figures from the blog. I can't decide who needs this victory more, Ferrari and Raikkonen, The Red Bulls for their championship, Rubens for his title fight or Toyota who needs a win to make sure they stay in F1. I will have to go with Toyota and Trulli winning their first ever GP. Toyota has so far not allocated a budget for next year, maybe a win here would change their mind. If not them, then Rubens possibly, a win for the little guy.
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    With all that F1 has been through in the last two years, it can do without any more controversy. Piquet Jr having been fired by Renault, much like his fagg*t father has gone on a rant and it has resulted in the most absurd allegation.

    FIA to launch probe on '08 Singapore GP

    The FIA is to launch an investigation into the events at last year's Singapore Grand Prix, where Renault's Fernando Alonso claimed victory on the back of a crash by his team-mate Nelson Piquet.

    Alonso's success was sealed by the timing of a safety car in the early stages of the inaugural event - which had been called out when Piquet crashed into the wall shortly after his team-mate stopped for fuel.

    The timing of Piquet's crash prompted wild conspiracy theories that the Brazilian had been ordered to deliberately spin to help Renault take its first victory of the year. Piquet himself insisted at the time that the accident had been caused by him simply trying too hard.
    Come back, Luca Badoer, all is forgiven.

    h2The Odds Favour Alonso's Ferrari Move/h2

    With the 2010 silly season in full swing, Skybet takes a look at the odds on which drivers will be moving and to where...

    With the paddock alive with rumours regarding Fernando Alonso's widely anticipated move to Ferrari for 2010, Skybet have opened the book on who will be driving where in 2010, and they certainly expect Ferrari to find a way of accommodating Alonso in their seat - quoting the Spaniard at just 1/14 to make the switch from Renault.

    He is 7/1 to stay put, and 16/1 to return to McLaren following rumours that he could be lined up as Heikke Kovalainen's replacement.

    So, as pe the conspiracy theory being floated around, not only did Piquet Jr spin the car on orders of Flavio Britore, but Renault also knew that Massa will have the fuel rig problem along with other problems for drivers in the race to allow Renault to win the race Britore must be the reincarnation of Nostradamus.

    All this comes on a day when we had a good race. Button, it looks is destined to win the title. For a man who has only managed 11 points in the last 5 races he still enjoys a 16 point lead in the driver's championship after today's DNF. His lead should have been cut down by 10 points today but again Barrichello made his stunning start, going back wards, Trulli missed what might have been Toyota's best chance to win a GP this season, and the team messed up Glock's pitstop which turned out to be nothing compared to what Renault did to Alonso. Red Bull, having gone ultra conservative to cover the KERS Ferrari of Raikkonen, never showed the pace expected of them on a track where they were expected to have a 1-2. Webber finally got the penalty he deserved and his race was pretty much over after that. Brawn GP still has problems with tires, but seems that Rubens is the one who is most likely to make a charge than any of the Red Bull drivers. Raikkonen did all he needed to do to win the race and i was wondering when he got out of the car whether this was the last time we would see him as a winner in Ferrari colours. Last but not least, a great drive by Fisichella. All credit to him and Force India, who maximized their package on a track which some how suited them.

    Onto Monza, and Ferrari are still not sure if Badoer will be driving the car. If they needed any help, they should have looked at the big banner by the track side which read " My Grand Mother can driver faster than Badoer in a Ferrari. It's a shame " They are waiting to see what the doctors say about Massa`s eye, on Monday when he has his examination._

    Congratulations to all Ferrari fans, NS, Comtrak, Kizzi, Redbull_ar and others who are unable to post here either because of studies or work or a combination of both.

    @Begalr

    Congratulations. I am sure the win must have helped lessen the pain a wee bit. Hope you are feeling better though. Our prayers are with you bro. Grab all you can with one hand today

    @genius83

    You must have been struck by the rain, either knocking out your net connection of electricity. Congratulations to you too, although you super gamble of picking Badoer didn't pay off.

    @Sheryaar

    A special day for you, congrats on your guy winning the race. He managed the race very well in a car which was not that quick (Y)

    I am so much happy i was sitting in one position for the last 20 laps of the race. KImi is great he won a car which was not fast and he made a great start. Also force india was very fast on this day. Maybe they have good upgrades and working well now. Mercedes engine in most teams is fast and winning races. Rubens Barrichello drive around with so much somke from his engine but finished the race but i am so much happy for ferrari and kimi raikkonen.

    unclecracker, thank you very much.

    @UK

    Sorry for the late reply. Thanks to ALLAH this time we only have a electricity failure of one hour during rain and it was my net connection that have some fault even before the rain when the service provider try to solve the problem rain started and they have to stop work until the rain stops.

    Now, a real crazy season is becoming more and more crazier by every race, and now I am dead sure that we have the classic season for a long time. Kimi winning, Force India's first pole and first podium, Jenson's deserving DNF and that too in the very first lap also taking out the reigning WDC too, Alonso's another bad luck with the pitstop,BMW's most strong finish of the season and finally a Mercedes engine blowout of Rubens, certainly no one could predict something like that.

    As for the fuel pitstop predictions, you have read it right about the predictions on the blog and also my predictions are no different then theirs but only a bit confusion was present they are counting 2 laps before the race even starts

    1) When the cars come towards the grid to take their positions and

    2) The warmup lap before the race start.

    Although I have highly doubts that cars will use the same amount of fuel during these 2 laps but still they are accurate. One more thing to clear these predictions were done by me and I only take the fuel consumption data for 1 lap around the track from WilliamsF1.com.
