Members, please don’t mind the length of the thread, following is written in one go, not even once rechecked, the words came out of my heart and mind.
Mods: I am sorry I am posting this in a general section, you may shift to you desired section after few hits. All I wanted is save someone from the agony I am going through.
This is my story…
I don’t know why this crazy idea came to my mind that I should sell my car and get another car. Some of my friends from Pakwheels did advice me not to do this and I will always regret not listing to their advice.
Over a week ago, got a call from a person (he is not a member of Pakwheels but saw the ad/thread of my car over here), said that he wanted to check the car. In the evening (though it was raining) he comes over. Checks the car, went for a short drive, from his eyes and talk I was 100 per cent sure that he is in love with the car. On return he said the “car is mine”. I tried to tell him (as always) that this not a car like Suzuki or Toyota which are easy car to maintain and that he should think about it and let me know few days later. But ‘NO’ was his answer. He went away after handing me the ‘token money’ and saying next day he will pay me the full amount and take the car.
I was unaware of the fact that this Monday will turned out to be a “Black Monday” for me, will let you know why, a little later.
Late night I decided that next day this car will go to a new owner, so I sat down and wrote few points of care (oil/filter I am using, oil change intervals, alignment, etc etc) and thought that I should hand over a clean car. It was still raining so I decided to clean from inside (by the way most of the time my cars are very clean). While cleaning the dashboard I really felt bad, the car served me really good during the past 2 years, never had a single problem with it. I was really feling bad about my decision. The felling of ‘betrayal’ was pinching me hard.
Anyway next day the ‘owner’ came, gave me the remaining balance, I wished him best of luck and he took away ‘his car’.
Now starts my agony. Selling a good ‘out of market’ is a 1000 times easy than finding a simple ‘good’ car. Last Sunday spend the whole day going through the newspaper ads selecting the cars saying “100% original”, “A-1 condition”, “clean interior”, ”excellent condition” balaa balaa and than went to check the so claimed “original” cars. It was a nightmare (though it was a very sunny day).
None of these so called ‘original’ cars were even close to what was written about those, in fact calling them ‘car’ is a disgrace to the ‘car family’. The ‘original’ cars turned out to be rusted, cracked dashboard, missing buttons, bonnet opener hanging, lose door glass, wired kind of wiring and no words for the explain the condition of the door panels or the condtion of the seats.
Sadly, even the car posted over here at Pakwheels claiming the above features turned out to be same.
These days my day starts with ‘some hope’ but ends ‘hopelessly’.
Before I end my story, would like to tell everyone who wants to sell his/her CAR in hope of finding a better car (even with adding some money to the amount), Please don’t do that, you will regret it, as I am doing it ‘what I have done’
In the meanwhile my search for a ‘dream car’ continues, hoping it to find it soon.
