@ustaad_007 am no expert for mammals. I will share what i learn from the workers at the farm.
The BUFFALO was purchased from upper sindh area at very good price because owner was winding up business due to extortion rackets in area., The transition stress and change of location to Karachi, 9 days she was producing no milk but clear lactose type liquid. 13 days later it improved and 15 days later she started producing total 9 - 11 litres healthy milk for human consumption per day in SUMMERS. As the weather turned colder in Karachi the output started to multiply.
You are very right for the quantity, it is not uniform when temperature starts to rise. She is also Allah pak ki makhlooq, not man made machine which can be programmed to give output better or proportional to input.
Another point is that dairy farm does not have 'TALAB - JOHUR' for Buffalo to rest in water which acts as sort of Catalyst for milk producing glands.
approx 2000 litres of water is used daily for 22 animal 'BATHING NEED' as soon as Temp in the shade go over 27 C+ for better produce.
Taking an average the milk she has produced in 18 months comes to be 16 litres in 2 cho-ayez. 18 months include the Dry Period when she was carrying a baby etc. - 10 litres per cho-aye was BEST during winters and in evening their shed was covered from both sides to keep them warm.
my deal is Morning Cho-aye whatever is the produce -
we eat less in Summers & lose weight, while we tend to eat more & gain weight in winters ! right
