    Default The Deal’s Gap of Pakistan?

    Wow! I recently spent a day traveling and exploring the Fort Munro Area in the Southern Punjab. The town itself is not much to write home about, but the roads - my God, it’s a motorcyclist’s paradise! Some pics attached.

    Cheers, Richard

    But its not bumpier than N59 motorway that links Galway with my town
    its the worst motorway ever
    The road has single lane and the is no barrier
    there are diches along the road
    if you are stuck behind a slow-moving tractor you widh you were dead !!
    And there are NO lights on that road
    and the sheeps often comes on the road
    but the bikers and teens love that road

    @hondaFanatic

    The road cannot be described as glassy smooth, but I still had fun on my GS150. Part of the "fun", of course, was trying to ensure I didn't die when the pavement disappeared... . Definitely a 250cc+ dual sport bike would be ideal for the condition the road is in right now.

    What was particularly entertaining was the stretch of road that continues past Khar, on towards Quetta. Loved that bit, as it did not have as many switchbacks to slow me down. If they ever did repair the road, it would be amazing for any type of bike.

    Cheers, Richard

    U r right calling it Deal's Gap, lot of curves and some r sharp too.

    So u bought GS afterall, now I can claim commission from Pak Suzuki. Free tuning and service perhaps if not $$.

    @lovebikes
    Eid Mubarak Dr. Yaqoob!

    The trip was a totally last minute plan as I really needed a break from the hectic schedule I had experienced since our tour up north, and Fort Munro popped into my mind. After Googling and seeing some of the pics, I had to go! I'd love to do another trip up there when I have some time, so I'm seeing if there is some interest here on the board. I think I have one definite "yes" so far.

    With regard to the GS, yes, do collect your commission immediately from Pak Suzuki! I'm loving the bike although a few small issues have surfaced that will hopefully be sorted out under the warranty. Really though, for the equivalent of CDN $1000, it's and amazing deal.

    How are your GS adventure touring modifications coming along, BTW? Let me know.

    Cheers, Richard

    Nice trip. I've heard a lot in praise of Fort Munroe. How far is this place from Multan n how much time it takes to get there from Multan?
