    the bore size of the cylinder is where most power of the engine comes from. compare both the cylinders bore diameter, whatever cylinder has a bore bigger than the other ought to be the stronger candidate when it comes to speed.

    @yam,135

    and if the bore of two cylinders is same then the length of stroke would determine the power for example in 1997 civic the bore of both exi and vti is same but the stroke of vti is a bit longer

    dear all...

    its is the size of cylinder that determines the amount of fuel to be taken in....and hence the power

    bore ho ya stroke ho....more size means more fuel..and that means more power...

    @poster
    cylinder size increase karny say means bigger piston aay ga aur us say srf shoot mein zyadah farq aay ga aur long mein mamoli sa. 70 kay andar kuch bhi kar do fuel avg. mein thora sa farq parta hai bcz us ka nana munna say to head hota hai.

    before we understand what is the diff. between 72cc and 78cc we must have to under stand whats is Bore, Stroke, and Displacement

    1- Bore is ths dismeter of cylinder

    2- Stroke is the distance between Top dead center to bottom dead centre

    3- Displacement is 13.4 x d x d x L / 4 (pai D square into L devided by 4)

    and displacement matters a lot in performance coz torque and HP depends on displacement

    72 cm me timing chain 82 links ki ha like CD70, old sohrab, old pak hero etc

    78 cm me timing chain 84 links ki hai like DYL Dhoom, new Sohrab, new Pak heo, star etc.

    here is also difference of piston lenghth. 78cm wali bike ka piston 72 se lenght me 2 or 3 cm ziyeda hai

    esi terha dono k cyleder lenght me b 2 cm ka ferk hai

    usually 78 cm3 wali bike has more pick up, more speed and more power bt its life is short than 72 cm3's.

    bhai mere bhai ne apni lisfan 70cc ka engine overhaul karaya aur piston japanese dala cd 70 ka to top par wo pistan lagna shuru hua gaskit ko phir humne us piston ko ooper se katwaya lenth machin waly se phir prob solve hua, lifan par b 78cm likha hua hai lifan ka piston chota hai cd 70 ka lamba hai but rings same dalti hain, heavy bikes ka piston bhi chota hota hai choty piston me pick achi hoti hai ,mere pas honda cd 200 thi ghalti se cd185 ka piston de dia shop waly ne wo bhi ooper se bara tha wring same thi phir mene cd200 ka piston dala prob solve hua, choty piston se cylinder me ragar kam hoti hai gari garam nahi hoti aur bhagti hai agar piston chota hota hai to neechy crank ka chackar barhaya jata hai jis se gari ka stroke barh jata hai thats it warna cd aur lifan k cylinder me koi farq nhi sirf piston aura crank ka farq hai

    Meray bhaiyo....jab bhi koi modification kerni ho to sab se pehlay yahi baat dekhtay hain k jo new cheez hai wo purani cheez k design k sath compatible hai ya nahi...

    Piston k size aur weight se sara design garbar ho jata hai...agar size same ho but weight different ho to is se engine ki performance mai farak perta hai....yahan tak k engine bekaar bhi ho jata hai...

    So I advise k kisi banday se yeh confirm ker lena chahiye k jo modification kerni hai wo sahi bhi rahe gi ya nahi...

    Baqi ye k her company ka apna design hota hai...apnay sizes hotay hain..unko cherna nahi chahiye...agar boht zaroori hai...original parts nahi mil rahe to phir kisi tajarbaykaar banday ya kisi engineer se pooch lena chahiye k kaam sahi rahe ga ya nahi..
