Angry CD 70 having no grip at road

    Hi All

I have a CD 70 2009 motorcycle. All things are ok. Average is perfect. In plain it goes upto 95 Km/h easily. But it has a problem. The motorcycle have no grip over the road. It seem like that some thing is in between road and the tyre.

What the problem can be and how it can be solved?

    regards

what is your current tyre pressure?
what is the state of your suspension?
have you fitted any other parts/mods to your bike?
    what tyres are you using?
do you experience this all the time or just on certain roads?

Road grip can be improved by:
1- Using wider tyres with suitable pattern for increased road grip.
2- Increasing the weight of vehicle.
3- Lowering the centre of gravity.

    These can be done by:
    1- Replacing tyres
    2- Replacing bike
3- Lowering the suspension and seat

    UR ANSWERS

For best road grip and health of ur tyre read a sticker on ur chain cover... It has all the details ebt how much tyre pressure u shud have at various load levels. Follow that strictly, Dont listen abit of wht tyre, tube, puncture wala guys have 2 say ebt it... Ur tyre is just lyk a balloon over filled it will easily burst, less filled it can take more outer pressure.

More over avoid screeches, start slowing ur bike b4 time so that no harsh/screeching stops are required. bcoz this ruins ur tyre's upper soft grippy layer of tread and left behind id the hard grip less surface.

    Automotorsport_lover is absolutely correct!

Just read the given tire pressures (for cold tires) on your tires. Always check and fill your tires when they are cold - because when the tires are warm, the air inside expands and this gives an incorrect reading.

Secondly, dont listen to what the guys at the petrol pumps say, the manufacturers are not stupid - just fill in pressure given by your tire manufacturer.

Secondly, about your grip problem - what I have experienced from my bike is that from time to time - dust and other dirt gets collected in the treads of my tires. They need to be washed and scrubbed off. So after I get my bike serviced, the tires are absolutely clean. This restores the tire grip.

Btw ... the biggest factor is the lousy road quality of Pakistan. Islamabad probably has the best roads in Pakistan - apart from the Motorway. Whenever I go to Pindi, I experience a drastic reduction in road grip. Maybe its the same in Abbotabad.

^^ Infact the biggest problem is with the Cd70 itself!

The bike has a short wheel base which needs to be increased, Things like angle of suspension and centre of gravity etc plays a vital role to provide ur bike a good road grip,So honda shud increase its design bcoz amongst all the bikes iv driven Cd70 has the worst road grip...

Also the tyre manufacturers are not providing the best tyre... In Pakistan only soft tyres work well, companys like Panther & service are providing hard tyres that are not good enough to suit our roads.

However using a 6 PLY rating tyre with right air pressure cud solve this problem 2 an extent.
    Cheers!

Hmm Bhai meter agar gari ka 200 ka hai tu dosent mean you run it on 200.

Maine CD 70 rakha hai and this bike is not designed to touch such speeds. I once experianced rear tire puncture at 60 KMPH and even than the bike got totaly out of control. And i see people with childeren and women on the bikes running there bikes like idiots in the trafic.
