    MashAllah, very nice looking bike!

Can you tell us about the rims and the front disk brakes, just briefly that how much will it cost to convert and are the rims and disk brakes of Suzuki or other bike?
    Where can we buy them?

    Many thanks.

Bro i guess app bike ko double stand pe laga kay runing kar rahay ho? it is no way to do running, iss tarha apki bike ki running nai hogi bcoz na apki bike pe load hai aur na he gears kaam kar rahay hain, running khali engine ki nai Puray gearbox ki bhi hoti hai..

Ap properly running karo, 5th gear and max. max. upto 60Km/hr or below 5000Rpm - whatever the speed is.

In this way you will just ruin your bike.. & congrats 4 ur purchase its a looking nice!

@Automotorsport_Lover, Thank you for your comments.

You are absolutely right that running should not be done in this way. However, I don't plan to complete the running this way either.

Here is generally what I do:

    1. Stationary running with fan for about 20 minutes interval, and that is only applicable when the bike is brand new and only for a day or two.
    2. Next phase is running on the road upto 1000kms with the max. rpms around 3000 and no passenger!
    3. After that gradual increase of rpms upto 2000kms and never the max rpms.
    4. After that normal driving.

Oil change intervals during the running phase:

    1. First oil change at 300kms or <
    2. Second oil change at 600 kms
    3. Third at 1000kms
    4. Fourth at 1500kms & Fifth at 2000kms.

After reading the above procedure, some people might think this too much effort and waste of time; and that's ok.

    Thanks.

@kami4985, I agree with you regarding the rear light and I don't like it as well. I am on the lookout for an another rear light but of Suzuki make.

The fuel tank and the front light are something that I can live with.

Lahore to Abbottabad, between 6,000 RPM and 6,500 RPM, it gave 52-53 km/l. Abbottabad to Lahore over 8,000 RPM, 43 km/l.

    @umerchaudhary

150cc carburettor bikes with similar performance but better electronics (economy mode selection) can easily go around 60 km/l.

Many of the Chinese 150cc bikes are designed for economy and go upto 65 km/l or more, but the top speed of those bikes is around 100/105 km/h. You have to ride them at 65-70 km/h for best consumption.

One has to ride easy, just below or around the max power/max torque RPM, avoid braking by slowing down early, and no sudden acceleration. At 6,000 RPM, GS150 has a speed of ~72 km/h and at 6,500 RPM, ~78 km/h. So around 75 km/h it gives the best consumption. Also, Lahore to Abbottabad is 400 kms, except for Lahore-Gujranwala, the road is mostly good and at this distance the economy is generally better.

You have to choose between speed and economy, with the bikes available in Pakistan, you cannot have both. With EFI bikes you can have both.

Nice discussion going on. I am optimistic that the GS150 will give good fuel consumption, however with the 150cc engine, I am primarily interested in power and performance.

As Caltex Havoline was available, so used it. I think the bike runs much better now.
