    Anyone who has replaced either the front or rear tire on their GS150 bike, please share.
    I am thinking of getting Deluxe's rear tire for my GS150. Don't know whether it is worth the change...

    @amjadch
    Your question is ambiguous, please clarify the reason why you want to change the tyre and what you expect to achieve. Only then someone can answer correctly. The current question can get replies from people who changed the tyre for exactly the opposite reasons, that would only confuse you.

    And whoever answers the question, please also mention how many kilometers you have done on the new tyre(s).

    In my experience the wider rear tyre costs much more, because it consumes more fuel and
    1) The similarly priced tyre wears off more quickly than standard tyre, or
    2) The more expensive tyre does not run as long as it should.

    I have seen people changing the rear tyre with a slick sports tyre, I would never attempt to descent from Nathiagali or Thandiani in rain with that tyre.

    If you follow the Road Trips forum you might have seen the offroad tyre that lovebikes is using.

    Thanks @asad01 for your reply.

    Yes, you are right I should have articulated my question. Well, I am seeking opinions for on-road tire which should be wider then the default 3.00-18 on the GS 150. I don't want to opt for the off-road tire as you have mentioned and I agree it is not suitable for descent on paved roads. The Deluxe's rear tire appears good and I was wondering if anyone has installed it and the pros and cons. I am not much worried about the fuel consumption as I don't drive much, but I don't want to loose the bike's pick.

    @papubhai, reminder, some photos of your bike, please.

    i got gs150 2008 model. i have changed the genuine tyre with deluxe tyre , its doing good so far. grip is far better than the genuine tyre. my ride is doing 38 plus per liter in smooth ride, only one draw back this tyre splits mud all over bcoz its rainy season u know. so beware who ever is sitting behind u, watch out for the clothes become dirty in no time.

    I read the website. They are also making a claim of 67km/liter average of Suzuki Mola. I wonder why our gs-150 cant do that. Are they using some different kind of technology.

    @sayyedain, yes the GS 150 has the self-start system. Refer to the first page of this thread and you can see the photo of the self-start switch.

    I replaced the rear tyre with the Deluxe tyre which probably they call 80/90 or something like that. It drives much better and performed well on my last trip to the mountains.
    The only problem I have had is people pointing out that air pressure is less and the tube might be punctured. Probably due to smaller rim.
    I had to replace the original tyres after 4000kms because after one trip to the mountains they lost their balance.

    @khanmomar, thanks for your reply.

    One suggestion was to replace the rear rim only with the Deluxe's rim and to use the same tire.
    For some reason the GS 150's rim is slimmer compared to Deluxe's. Post a photo of tire and rim to ascertain how it looks.
