Thread: Running of a Zero Meter Bike.Is it a Fact.

    Default Running of a Zero Meter Bike.Is it a Fact.

    So i bought a new hero 70 cc bike in january 2010.Actually i buy a new one every year.So this time i decided not to complete its running.The day i bought it i kept speed under 50 km/h.From then on i used to race on this bike.And the results are very surprising as it runs faster than any other 70 cc bike and and i haven't experienced any problems yet.

    To personally satisfy my own adrenalin needs, I've been racing Bikes a little bit, which has been fun.

    blunders upon blunders... 1st the Topic Poster says ZERO METER BIKE... after that he says ALTERATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE... i mean whts wrong with u U didnt complete running thats separate thing and u altered ur bike from 70cc to 110cc so it must b fast than other 70cc bikes.. u r mixing many things .... stick to a point and than ask ur question

    Running is regarded as the break in period of the bike during which piston gets polished with the walls of cylinder, its necessary for prolonged life of a bike, Also it is strongly recommended in owners manual ,just READ it,
    And if u say that ur bike has gone no affect without running, its right, but surely the life of ur engine will decrease and it will need an earlier rebuild

    plz stop spreading false rumours abt that, ur 70cc bikes can do, 120 and 130km/h, blah blah,
    i have storm 125 and i know how difficult it is to attain such a speed and rather "ajdsm" and me should sell his GS 150 and i sell my storm and buy that special 70 cc of urs because its faster than our machines what a joke

    aik 70cc khareed lo mjhy day do wd 13-15k mein alter kar kay day dun ga aur guarantee dun ga kay 140 hit karay gi...woh alag baat hai kay bike 100 par jab pochchay gi to tum bolo *** jan pyari hai bhai bas break lagao ab
    My Vehicle is an ALL MOTOR. Seriously, Who needs a turbo when u have a Stupidly Quick Naturally Aspirated Motor???? Real Motors don't need Forced Induction. EG for life

    This is very true. Engine running should be taken care of but not by running it slow.. rather one should drive it hard in each gear.. upto max it can go. BUT.. don't forget to change the mobil oil and oil filter after 50Kms of running it hard. This would help flush all the metallic particles which produce after hard running of a new engine. The engine would be ready for normal drives then. I repeat, just 50Kms of Hard running.. then get it fine tuned and oil filter etc changed. Its for all 4Stroke Engines, be it motorcycles, motorcars, lawn mowers or Gensets.

    plzz help me on running of a bike.
    i have bought a new one recently and have done 150 km on max of 40/hr.
    how long i have to drive it on 40/hr??
    and et me knw if it is right to drive on 40/hr on 4th gear??

    Bhai mein nay subah mechanic ko phone kiya tha.Us nay bataya kay bike mein air filter gun nai hai.Ghirari agli 16 ki hai aur pichli stock hai.Engine lahori hai jis mein sari alteration hoi hai.Honda 110 cc kar carb hai.

    Looks like u dnt know anything at all abt bikes my brother.Changing the carb dosent mean that the bike is converted from 70 to 110 cc.I started this thread to clear the running issue once and for all.Thats my point.

    the runnning in period isn't a myth, it gives a chance for the engines to settle in and to give a chance for any faults to arise. abusing and modding a new machine will void your warrnty and will also result in your brakes not getting sufficient time to "bed in" leading to unoptimized braking & uneven wear.

    i'd say that whatever damage needed to be done has been done and now you should just ride it however you want.

    BTW what oil are you using? i hope you havn't been fooled into using a 5W20 or 10W30 as this will kill your clutch.

    Dear will post a video as a proof soon.Taking care of bike when its altered to this extent is a very difficult job.Keeping a storm 125 or gs150 is nothing compared to this machine.So theres a price to pay.

    Default Pillion riding during Running-In period

    What about pillion riding during running in / engine break in period?
    I've recently got a new Honda CG-125 Deluxe, I dint ran it above 40 km/h or 4000 RPM but I'm doing double sawari on it already. Is this okay?

    yar u r right 2 days back hum nae 70 tyar kee hae.92 model with cd 100 head cylinder aur us nae abhe pahlee try pae 120 ka meter mara hae.
