Unhappy speculate Electronic Fuel Injection in pakistan

    just speculate when

1- efi bikes would be available in pakistan ?

2- which company will be first ?

3- will it[efi system] be indigenious or imported or manafactured locally ?

4- what should be the price ? displacement and shape of that bike ?

5- what should be its cost ?

6- how will be the market response ? which segment would like it most , students,dodhwalaz.....

7- is there any indication whatsoever that work is going in this direction ?

    thanks

I don't see bright chances for early arrival of efi bikes in Pakistan. This is because of the cost effect. EFI bikes would increase the bike prices considerably, say the deluxe 125 which cost 105k at present would not be less than 115k only because of the addition of the EFI feature, because companies in Pakistan introduce something new primarily to double their profits rather than with the am of providing better product to the people.

There is however a possibility that some Chinese manufacturer may venture on the EFI project, but again, I am never confident about the Chinese technology o the products they export to Pakistan.

    Cheers.

but isnt it used in india ? and i think its also pretty cheap over there ...

one thing is that we lack a coherent policy...for any industry.

Yes, India produces its own EFI models, but then even bikes are cheaper in India because a single company does not enjoy monopoly there.

its not about EFI, its not the only thing, there whole engine technology is changed, like DTSi and 6 speed transmissions, oil coolers etc,
if somebody does EFI to the current cd 70 we have , it will be a joke
