Thumbs up Suzuki Sprinter engine rebuild

    Hey friend(s),

I am getting a 2008 model of Suzuki Sprinter for 22 K and I guess that the owner is selling for this price because the engine would be asking for money, so in regard what I want to exactly know is how much do I have to spend if suppose I buy that bike to rebuild the engine?

And also what is the price of the carborator of that bike?

    Thanks alot,

    Faisal.

if engine needs rebuild, surely there will also be a body work involved, cant say exactly, but using geniune parts can give u atleast 12 to 15000 expenditure ,will cost u upto 35000, so its better to look for a good bike in that price , rather than to spent on rebuild

Donot buy that bike either it has serious trouble with papers? with engine? or is accidented or the previous owner has ruinned every bit of mechanical part including carburator and engine... no one sells their 2 year old bike at such a low rate if it can work...

    ^^ Agreed!
Moreover the expenditure on the engine can exceed your expectations if the bike is found to be badly treated or abused.
I know that a Suzuki is hot having good resale but still a 2008 model for 22k?
    Does not makes sense.

Alright, I agree and respect your experiance and others too of-course, thanks friends, the replies are really helpful, now I have a question, I have an other friend who is selling his Sprinter ECO 2007 model for 25k , I think now it's a quite comprehensive deal, according to him, he bought in 2009, since that time the bike is going great, just tunned up once and changed the mobil oil (of-course after 1000 KM). And nothing else, he says the engine is perfectly al-right though missing a couple of times but according to him, it's because the bike wants tunning.

So my friends, I will surely take the bike to a couple of machanics, they are experianced and some of them have real good relation (relatives) with me. So I trust them but still tell me the basic stuff, I ask to machanic to check, like he can't open each an every part to check but what are the nucessary stuff he can check and that can be helpful for me, while he is making the survey or taking ride?

Thanks once more, the help would be really great,

    Faisal.

^^ A good mechanic can tell you the condition of the engine by reving it only once.
Take it to the mechanic who you trust and ask him to do a complete checkup of the bike.
There are many more things to take care of other than the engine.
I dont know about the resale and market of these Suzuki,s in Multan so cant say that is the demand reasonable or not.
    Good Luck!

A simple suggestion: ONLY BUY USED SUZUKI FROM SUZUKI SHOWROOM. Ask the senior mechanic for his personal guarantee. Suzuki Sprinters and GSs have much advanced technology than other bikes and only company showroom/service center can maintain them properly. Anyone who keeps his Suzuki maintained will sell it through the mechanic at the service center.

My friend bought Sprinter 2007 for 32,000/=, so a 2008 for 22,000/= or a 2009 for 25,000/= is very suspicious.
