and thats y they switched to oil cooled as air cool wont support such a heat due to high compression
    Very observant, Umer!

Yes, it does seem to have a high compression piston.

And the fact that it revs to 10, 800 RPM, gives it more horsepower.

Looks to be Water cooled (can't see an Oil cooler).

There is a race version also:

But the fact is that 1 Indian rupee = 1.93 Pak Rupee ...

The bulk of the Indian riders opt for bikes that cost between 45 - 50 thousand rupees. Bikes that cost 1 lakh + have a much smaller market.

Made in India tag has a good reputation unlike the Made in China tag.

Indian bikes are already a hit in countries like Colombia and Indonesia.

Many multinationals are manufacturing cars within India and exporting worldwide.Hence, your perception is wrong

My dear friend. Let me enlighten you.

A glimpse of the Indian Auto scene:

    - Tata Nano is the worlds cheapest car
    - Tata motor owns British Marques Jaguar & Land Rover
    - Tata also owns Korean Daewoo Heavy vehicles division
    - Mahindra Tractors are among the top 5 manufacturers in the world
    - Mahindra has manufacturing facilities in Spain and South Africa
    - Maruti Suzuki is the manufacturing hub for Swift cars in S. Asia
    - Bajaj Auto has 36% stake in KTM Austria
    - Bajaj Pulsar is copied by the Chinese and called "Gulsar" and sold in Brazil
    - Hero Honda is the worlds largest motorcycle manufacturer
    - Hero Honda Splendor is the world's largest selling motorcycle
    - TVS motors has manufacturing facilities in Indonesia
    - Yamaha Motors India exports to Africa and South America
    - Kinetic Engineering (Now part of Mahindra) makes precision equipment for BMW and Mercedes.

India is the leading automaker in south asia and it's products are in great demand in all SAARC countries except Pakistan. Your leaders have too much Political Dogma to accept when someone is better.

Also VW, Toyota, Suzuki, Audi, Mercedes, Volvo all are made ( and not just sold )in India.

So my friend, if you have anyone driving a car like this in pakistan, there is a strong chance that many components (if not the whole car) is made in India.

Also Bajaj Auto, TVS Motors, Tata and Mahindra are completely Indian manufacturers with their own R&D facilities ... There is no technical collaboration with other Japanese or Korean or German companies.

How many countries in the developing world can claim that?

Sorry, but that is the bitter truth.

    Take it or leave it

I did not include Hero Honda in the list of indigenous manufacturers. They still have a tie up with Honda motors. Incidentally Honda motors has entered the Indian market almost 7 yrs ago.

Bajaj Auto and Kawasaki had a tie up from 1986 till 1998. They have since parted ways.

TVS had partnered with Suzuki, but they have split ways for over a decade.

The Major current players in the Indian two wheeler market are:

    Royal Enfield
    Yamaha Motors India
    Honda Scooters and Motorcycles India
    Suzuki India
    TVS Motors
    Bajaj Auto
    Hero Honda
    Mahindra Auto
    Hero Motors

Some of the defunct companies are:

Ideal Jawa (Yezdi) - Tech Collaboration Jawa Czechoslovakia
Kinetic Motors - Honda tie up
    Narmada Scooters - Gujrat Scooters
    Priya Scooters - Maharashtra Scooters
    LML Vespa
Caddy 50 ( From the Cadila Pharmaceutical Company)
API Lambretta - Automotive Products of India
    Laxmi Motors (Innocenti 48cc)
BSA Bond (Brooke Bond Tea Company)

    And many more.

All the defunct manufacturers are two-stroke bike/scooter makers.

The only 2 stroke vehicles in production today are Autorickshaws. They continue to sell even though the 4-stroke ones are sold by the same manufacturers.

Awesome information there brother. You seem to have a good knowledge of the Automotive History of India.

    nice info

yeah its a fact that India is growing!!!
being a big market all multinationals tried hard to grab india, dat created some healthy competition, moreover india got an established initial infrastructure at the tym of partition (eg mahindra 1945), good industrial policies(eg if a company had to operate in india it will hav to bring its RnD too), cheap labor and some serious investment really fueled indian economy

as far as Pak is concerned over here lack of infrastructure (eg no steel mill in 1947), bad trade policies, afghan war, military dictatorship, monopoly of some particular companies (eg suzuki and toyota) and now this suicide bombings etc etc are the hinderances in Pak progress

    Btw I like Mahindra Scorpio
A "cool dude" who says civic is the best car in the universe actually owns a CD 70!

saw this.if people can important cheen ka 250cc engine, gets fitted on current frame, then it is value for money:
    Yamaha FZ16 with 250cc engine swap - Team-BHP

One in the Above example is 250cc, 4 Valve, DOHC, Water Cooled, 6 Gear, 25ps, 21.5Nm.
    secularism is the norm.
