mashallah, cute lil thing
a dual 2.0vvti just makes a 1.3 i-vtec lok sad
There is some acceleration jam prob in my scooty due to which it did only 18km/l,I went to mechanic and he has fixed the problem according to him,but lets see now what the average! I think there's some problem in carburretor.
nice ride u got,
i dont wana disappoint u but here is a thing , if ur looking for fuel avg thing ,two stroke is probably not the best choice, so my advice will be to switch to some four stroke scotty like honda kinetic etc or even a cd 70 can do a better avg than this two stroke
but if u have purchased it for fun , than its ok
Guys give me any suggestions about what to change or add in my scooty?
Can anyone tell me that how to increase its fuel economy as it is burning alot of fuel,70km/4L
Congratulations on your new acquisition. You may consider changing the title to "My first Motorized ride" unless you had a diesel powered ride before.
you got me nostalgic, back to the days when I was your age.... had a couple of french motobecane mopeds.... sweet ride but a bit difficult to maintain due to non-availability of parts.
As for fuel consumption, the first thing to check is of course the carburator settings followed by ignition timing, valve clearance etc (if 4 stroke)
Scooties typically have a centrifugal clutch. If the clutch pads have worn out, your engine will have to apply extra force to engage primary drive with the engine; resulting in excessive fuel consumption.
If your scooty is 2 stroke, you may want to check the "suction plates" and their allignment. Caveat!!! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ALLIGN SUCTION PLATES YOURSELF IF YOU ARE A NOVICE. Trust a capable mechanic (ideally a rickshaw mechanic) to do this job....
One small suggestion. All your scooty needs, besides periodic maintenance, is regular wash and wax. Keep it stock, no silly mods in the name of "desi" aesthetics.
I try to keep it clean as possible,I know a mechanic in Saddar RWP and got to fix my scooty from him,he is a experienced mechanic,The race(acceleration) in the beginning when it came was over and was consuming alot of petrol, then got it on the right place, but still not much difference as I previously said that it does 70km/4l.
