Exclamation 2011 Yamama Junoon or DYL Dhoom

    Hey guys,

I live in U.S and am going back to Pakistan this Summer in May. I want to get motorcycle over there and was wondering which one I should get.

Right now, I'm looking at the 2011 Yamaha Junoon YD100 (Black or red???), and the 2011 DYL Dhoom YD70.

I went to Pakistan in Summer of 2009 and bought the Dhoom and it was a nice bike. I didn't really have any problems with it and it was pretty fast.

Now I'm considering upgrading to YD100 Junoon or just get 2011 model of Dhoom. I'm only going to stay there for like 3 months (leave in August), so I'm going to sell it before i go.

Which has better re-sale value and which should I get (and won't give me any problems)?

If someone could help me, I would really appreciate it!!! Thanks!!!

    Exactly my thoughts.

Anyway ... instead of getting a Brand new Motorcycle, why not get a used CG-125 or a used Honda CD-70? Getting a New Bike, spending time on its running, and selling it will cost a lot more than simply getting a used one.

And, I was going to ask, is there any difference between the 2010 model and 2011 Junoon? Pics??

    I live in Gujrat.

in 2009 my dad bought the Dhoom from Meer autos so he'll probably go back there and buy it.

    Also one more question,

How do people tell the difference between the 2010 and 2011 models if they both look alike? How would that affect re-sale value?

And if I use my Junoon for less than 2,000kms, how much can i resell it for?

If there is no Sticker Change in 2011 Model (because i haven't seen any 2011 model for now), then it'll be clear with those Standard Govt. Issued Lisence Plates for your Vehicle which states the model year of the bike as well.

umm ... say 10k down instantly ... If sold in market. It may be less if sold to an ordinary person. Also i tend to make a Wider analysis, so 10k is over estimated.

Ah I see. Well I got my dhoom in 2009 for 43k brand new and sold it for 40k after using it for 1800kms.

Hopefully I won't lose more than 5K on the Junoon. I will get black color because the blue streaks on the red Junoon look ugly.

Does the 2011 Junoon have any problems I should know about?

    @ Tanzeel

I dont recommend Junoon... bcoz it at the moment Yamaha is the brand with most warrenty claims due lowest quality control.. instead buying a Honda CG125 delux or Ravi Piaggio storm 125 would be better options

P.S. i own one Junoon 2010 Model thats why i know this..

In Yamaha you will mainly face poor wiring insulation quality.
After a pressure wash your handle switches will get water in them and indicators wont work. Plus water in ignition switch would cause start up problem and missing.

    - All these problems are avoidable and not big. You can prevent water fom getting into these electrical switches by taking preventive methods.

THe bike is very good in terms of comfort, fuel efficiency and power. - IF!! U get a trouble free piece!

I'm only going to use it for 2-3 months and then sell it.

I had that same problem with 2009 Dhoom as well (even when I washed it at home) it wouldn't start and I ended up walking the bike to mechanic. I think I'll be okay (inshallah).

I was thinking about CG 125 Deluxe but then decided against it as resale value isn't good. Also I love shape and sound of Junoon.

What color Junoon do you have? My dad keeps telling me to get red but the pics I've seen online, red looks ugly. I was thinking about getting black.

    EDIT:

Ok so i just saw pictures from khanthegr8 of red Junoon 2010/2011 model and wow, i really like it. Now considering red over the black one.

Re-Sale does a matter while considering Black or Red when you are buying Junoon...Both have good re-sale value...At the moment Yamaha 100 Cc bikes (Junoon and Yama 4 ) are facing some sort of shortage in the market....Black has some attractive looks than the Red one ... Looks more stylish .... beautiful graphics ... I'd like to suggest u to have a complete talk with the Sales dealer from where u will be going to purchase the bike ... Tell him that U will sell ur bike after 2-3 months, and after this period of time U will sell ur bike to the same dealer .... The dealer can give U better offer in taking that bike back as Second Hand .... Gud luck
Main tay Honda ee lay saa'n !!!
