Unhappy GS 150 need to change CDI

Guys, I am experiencing a problem with the CDI of my GS 150. The bike is second-hand and runs fine but every now and then, it stops while running for no reason without warning. Then I have to wait a couple of minutes and only then it restarts. It also seems to be running hot. I was told the CDI has some problem.

Can a regular mechanic replace CDI? Or should I go to a Suzuki recommended mechanic?

Any Suzuki recommended mechanic in Saddar area Karachi? Any that you would recommend?
    Please help.

@gr8 paki: yes I had it checked and complete tuning done, filters replaced, but still problem is happening again and again.

@archo2001: Doesn't Suzuki showroom have a long waiting list before they can accept your bike?

well, 1st go to a gs dealer 3s or 5s n find real problem,
otherwise, cdi changing is not big issue,
    issue is diagnosis
