Default Motorcycle project.Sports bike body on a 125 cc bike possible?

    Hello friends,

My best friend's son's 19th birthday is coming up.He has been asking for a sports bike for quite some time and Iam thinking of gifting him a sports bike. But I find a 250cc sports bike to be a bit too dangerous for a first time biker.Thats why I was wondering if its possible to put the frame along with tyres of a 250cc motorcycle on a lesser cc engine and frame e.g honda 125 cc bikes.Would it be a safe and possible project. And what would be the budget required for such a project?

On another note,I was wondering would it be advisable to go through with this project or just buy a 250cc bike.Is it safe to get a 250cc bike for a first time biker. Also if someone could tell me the prices of sports bike within the 250cc range in karachi.

    I would be entirely grateful.Thanks.

That really looks substantial.Actually I can go for a 250cc sports bike for him but Iam really concerned about the safety of these bikes. The kid is obssessed with sports motorcycles and we all know how dangerous they are.In all honesty do you think it's worth going through with this? Will I be able to replicate a sports bike on the suzuki gs 150 exactly as it is.How much budget would be required for this venture.

@usbads Sir I think it is more dangerous to give him a body alter 150 or 125 then giving him a proper 250cc bike coz doing alteration is not that easy that it looks, if you can really afford a 250cc bike then I think you should buy one and get speed limiter installed, don't know if speed limiter is available here or not I think experts should give input in this regard.
U R not checking papers so stop pointing out sp and gram mistakes.

Ok sir that is a really good suggestion. How much do sports bike in the 250cc range cost here? And is there any market in karachi where there are used sports bikes for sale at reasonable prices.

About the speed limiter,Would it be available here in karachi?

i dont think handing over a 250cc bike to some with no prior experience with bike and obsession with two wheelers is a smart move.... years back when i started driving just a week in i thought myself to b successor to an F1 driver nd now when i look back i realize how stupid i was nd at how many times Allaha saved me...... b smart, u cannot expect him to ride within speed limits on a heavy bike.....

I would also suggest you talk to your friend before gifting his son the bike,
it is possible tat your friend doesn't want his son to ride a bike to start off with,
in which case it would be wrong for you to go ahead and get his son the bike, and Allah forbid if the boy is involved in an accident and get's injured or worse, you'll have to live with the guilt and your friend won't be too pleased with you either.
I would recommend you to first talk to your friend and see what his views are on his son owning and riding a bike as this is an extremely dangerous undertaking in the traffic of Karachi, bikers drive like crazy and accidents are commonplace, in these accidents, serious injuries and fatalities have a very high probability due to lack of protective clothing and helmets etc,
does the boy own a bike currently or have access to a bike, does he know how to ride and does he have much experience riding,
if the response to any of the above is negative, then any form of a motorbike would potentially be dangerous and I would first seek the fathers consent, and then give the boy a 70cc with the promise of an upgrade in a couple of years provided he treats it responsibly and doesn't have any mishaps due to his own negligence or bravado.
As for a 250cc bike, these can be seriously powerful, it's like a kid asking for a bb gun and handing him an AK47 which can potentially be a recipie for disaster.
Irrespective of your decision, i would urge you to seek consent from the boys father first prior to doing anything else.
