Firstly thanks for replying. Actually i have bought a brand new HONDA CD 70 (will soon post pics as well ) i want to keep it's original tank and side panels but people have been telling me that after a month or two the shine would be gone (so take off the original ones) and the chrome on the silencer and other parts will also become dull.

So i wanted to know about the products which would help me to maintain the shine as well as some good polish for chrome.

brother first of all the shine never goes, these people are always putting covers on bike tanks changing things thus ruining all the beauty of the bike nothing happens and dont take ur bike to car wash too often and use good quality car wax to polish ur tanks and other parts. for chrome parts dont use greasy things to clean it wipe it with cotton cloth and get cleaner from market thats called ALL purpose cleaner ( sorry i forgot the name) ap TOTAL (Jahnda CHi CHI) k pump pe jao if u live in rawalpindi.... wahan se mil jayen ge achay cleaners

    Congratulations on your new bike!
Yes the paint shine does fades if you donot take proper care of it.
Donot use "Surf" on the tank of your bike instead use a car shampoo.
After wash, use a good quality wax polish and use it on the painted parts.
The chrome tends to loose its shine with the passage of time but that is not an issue.
If you wax polish your bike after every wash then it will retain its shine for a long period of time.

You can get it from any decoration shop/service station shops.
There are loads of shops in Gawalmandi,
You can get it from there.
    I use Kangroo carnauba wax.
    Kiwi is good too.
It aint expensive and works fine for me.
