i need a cylinder most important--local will be great just buy one made by yamaha
ring piston set -- buy local made by yamaha
connecting rods --- buy local if the current cant be re used
n weight bearings most importantly ... buy any japenese bearings easily available here in pakistan in every shop

i will appreciate any help in this regard

yar leave this Japanese thingy for good,, u wont find it,,even if u do,, u wont be sure if they really are japs,,
for cylinder buy a new cylinder,,
rest piston ring bearing etc are available locally ,,

just make sure u buy original Yamaha parts,,

and most importantly rebuild seems as just replacement of faulty parts and washing with petrol but its a science within itself,, it involves checking for tolerances,, warping of various surfaces,, which none of our mechanics do,, i had rebuild my friends 2007 honda cd 70 , it costed 6000 rs,, believe me in the entire process the mechanic not even used the ruler/scale let alone the use of calliper, dual gauge, micrometer, surface level check,,

a good rebuild with the cheapest Chinese parts will out last a poor rebuilt with aircraft quality parts.. take these words..

our mechanics just replace the bearings they don't check the surface where bearings go for play...

same thing with the crank balancing .. they just just a metal hammer to balance it .. and there balance in my opinion is just 70 % balance.. which results in seizure of engine.. had they use a proper balancing tools the rebuild would last as genuine engine..

they don't check for warpage .. surfaces may become curved and they need to be levelled for proper fit and hence smooth running of components .. crank case face where cylinder fits should be checked for warpage.. similarly the head face ..

hope u choose a good mechanic this time.. who uses the tools ..

bro ahsen thank u for ur kind words
    last time i spent 3.9k
    mechanic said to my father
MALIK SAHAB FIKAR HE NA KARO O METER KR DAISAN SOUND LESS

that guy maintained our all rides
    3yb s n cd 70 with times

i even paid him 7oo rs for tuning oil change

but he was not at all sincere person
the day i pickd bike n was coming back home it seazed twice

mechanic said naya engn bna ha
    garam to hoga
reason for that was 350 rs ring piston
a pathetic sleeve this sleeve was polished alot

this time m gonna get parts first upto my liking and standards
no matter how much time it takes
then slowly i will start building it
    wish me luck

yar go for china maal ..
i think if genuine is 1600 china will be at most 1200 rs...
and piston may be at most 400 rs in china/taiwan..
or mix .. i think the price of piston is ridiculus.. genuine should not be more then 500 at most.. but i think that the two strokes are replaced by 4t so its parts are facing demand supply problem so company can jack its price.. in my opinion 2200 for a piston is absolutely ridiculus.. horrible..
any how in my opinion u should buy jenuine cylinder... china/taiwan piston..

pistons are not that much rocket science material .. china can make it.. and so u should have no issue..
