    Exclamation Helmets...

    Where in Lahore should I look for some good variety of helmets? Mostly I have seen Chinese brands only, but I know that some Thai and maybe Taiwan brands are also available, though not from everywhere. There must be some right place to look for a good helmet from Lahore, can anyone tell where??

    What about availability of Indian brands like STUDDS, NINJA or VEGA? A long time ago when one of my uncle's was university students he used to have a STUDDS helmet, not sure if we can still find them in Lahore..

    Talking about helmets i lost a very dear friend just because he was wearing helmet but he did not use the helmet belt to secure it.

    He was on 9th ave when he fell into drainage when a suzuki van hit him. It was a minor accident he stood up called his bro that he is fine but than he lost consciousness he had no physical injury but bleeding in his brain.

    He was in coma for around 2 weeks, poor guy got love married to a nice family girl week ago with all world against them due to his poor background and girl with kinda rich, Rented his own one bed room very cute apartment and this happens. Never in my life i will forget the screams of that girl thousands came in his janaza and never in my or my father's life we attended such huge gathering.

    Not the one incident i saw I have seen a man killed infront of my eyes on express way when he fell down and hit big cat eye on road and his cheap helmet brust open I saw his brain on road.

    Most of us buy helmets just to avoid chalans than we drive motorbikes in first lane. Your life is very important for your loved ones always prefer best quality safety product available.

    I have a cracked helmet at home in Pakistan - its an Indian Studds (heavy item) - which I had padded myself to fit me (odd size). It saved my life when I crashed, the helmet cracked right at the temple and upper cranium, if I hadnt been wearing it - I would not have been posting anything on PW. The only damage incurred that I have slightly blurred vision now as the doctor said that one eye muscle was slightly damaged. My bike was not damaged much except the front plastic fender had shattered when the bike skidded sideways and I hit the the truck's chassis rail with my head as I went under it.

    A helmet is the only life saving equipment you have on a bike, do not skimp on it - and for the love of God, your wife, kids, parents, siblings, girlfreinds etc. Do not wear a loose fit helmet - I saw them everyday in Karachi loose enough that the persons cheeks were a good 2 inches away from the foam padding - Its the equivalent of not wearing a helmet at all and will induce hemmorhage. The correct helmet fitment is that your cheeks should be pressed in by the helmet.

    @poster: Nice and useful topic

    Bro i would suggest get a DOT approved helmet from there, i think the cheap but good looking helmets are no way near to DOT standards ( set in UK or any where).. just a suggestion :-)

    Bro dont know about Pakistani Market,
    get it from abroad, i have 2 helments one from UK and one from Dubai. I had no issues in finding one of my size ( your size as well).
    Or you can search for helmets on ebay ( this way you can search helment of your choice) and ask some one ( if you have any relative) to get it for you.

    I am sure i m not telling you something which you dont already know, but that is the best solution i can come up with.
