    Hey guys,

So i've got my mind set on a 05 Kawasaki Zx6r but strangely whoever i speak to, including my friends and some pakwheels members, discourage me from buying a Kawasaki.

So it got me thinking, why exactly do Kawasaki bikes have such a bad repute in pakistan? I've been reading reviews and Zx6r's often come first in shootouts. So obviously this opinion is just limited to pakistani's.

It's easily the best looking 05 bike for me, cbr's & gixxers are completely bland looking. I really do love the Zx6r but now i'm starting to get worried as everyone is telling me i'll have a hard time selling it and most probably will suffer a big loss on it. So i just wanted some advice, would you guys advise going for one and if not then why? Thanks for the help.

Technologically Kawasaki is more advance than Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda and others..... the breaking system the fuel system and even the shocks they are ahead of all.

FOr this not only here in Pakistan ..... overseas aswell people do not want to spend to much head into it, and they "go with the flow" and prefer the most liked one

Performance is the other end ..... the style and Technologically advancements in bike, is seen in Kawasaki.

Not sure i agree about the handling being difficult than other brands. I think it's the jahil mechanics that are to blame for this. If they can't understand something they will degrade it.

bro iv used kawasaki's two bikes GPZ400 n Ninja450r n unluckily faced same problems in the both bikes which was heating problem due to carbourator settings. u cant ride the bike under 80km/h speed ratio other wise it will start heating up. n in mornings will nt start easily have to link with cars battery coz takes much much long self's its own battery cant face alone. n iv even swapped the engine of Gpz bt got same problem n even i got burned during ride at the speed of 120km/h on highway due to radiators pipe blast i cant forget that day n just sold that hel with the help of Pakwheels... on the other hand Kawasaki is best for speed n for its pick n sound iv smoked out 500cc suzuki bike on my 400cc gpz n touched 195km/h on 450 ninja bt the heating problem sucks the repotation of Kawasaki as told by Mechanics heating is the major fault of kawasaki in pakistan according to atmosphere n weather over here... so first check out the bikes caborator first of all by simple test just start the bike n let it be stand started for ten minutes with the slow race of rpm at 2 or 3 if bike crosses the hot level then forget about tht bike if remains normal then thats fine Best of luck

About two years ago I read an article, a lucky journalist-***-bike lover got the opportunity to ride the YZ-M1, the Yamaha MotoGP bike. He mentioned how the Yamaha's bike was better than Kawi's, he mentioned about the noise the Kawi bike gave in the gear change and a lot more. I'll see if I can find the link to that article.

Personally I rate the Kawasaki at the last of the big four, maybe it is quite closer to others in performance but comes the last when we talk about reliability..

So I just found out you have already bought an R6. Congrats..
However, I found the link, in case you might still be interested in buying a Kawasaki.
