    Default Suzuki GS150 engine swap

    Hi people I need some advice
    I own Suzuki GS 150, 2011 and I want to install a little bit bigger motor in it .which engine is appropriate? Can I use Suzuki GN 250, / GN 400 OR Suzuki TU 250CC engine into this 150cc frame? has anyone done this or is it worth doing
    Im also planning to upgrade over all handling with disk breaks, alloy wheels and fat tyres . Any tips on would be great. Thanks in advance

    i will suggest you to first take advise from a person who knows about bigger bikes engine like 250cc 400cc 700cc etc as far as i know every 250cc have different frame size etc so you must take multiple 250cc engines ager 150cc k frame me ajata hai tu gr8

    i used to have chineese bike in heavy bike look u can see in my rides ( garage ) ik he yamaha ki engine us ki frame me aarha tha woh yamaha ka tha per 2stroke is ki wajah se alteration se me bhag rha tha k na ho aur chineese bike thi so kafi log dara b rhy thy

    mujhe itni knowledge hai nhi per jo upper likha hai yahan k he kuch members ki advise thi

    best of luck

    @streetdevil
    bro i did this in 2007 with my gs-150, i have installed suzuki gn250cc (kabli engine) in suzuki-150. that bike starts vibrating hilariously, and also creats problem in shifting gears backwards. this happens due to stock sprockets of gs-150 and less wait for a bigger engine like 250cc. i also try to install the 600cc single cylinder kabli engine in ,yamaha yzx250 1992 bike. that goes awsome bcoz the bike is already very heavy in weight,
    my point is that dont go for alteration it kills your time and money plus patiance...
    oper say denter aur mechanic ki bakwaas aur badneeyatii alag bardasht krni parti hay.
    if you really want to install some bigger engine i suggest go for honda road master 200 or go for honda cb125 and install cb189 engine init. its easily available in karachi, some of pakwheelers already done this project. check by your self.

    @Streetdevil

    Issues of installing GN250's engine in GS 150 has been hilighted above by enigmatool. As far as my opnion is concern u shud go for Honda XL 185' engine which is known as CB 180's engine here in Pakistan, its OHC 2 valve/cylinder engine almost same in size & weight as of GS 150 & engine would be able to push ~ 16 BHP.

    Default Suzuki gs 150 modification

    StreetDevil and those who have bought suzuki donot get dishearted. I know suzuki gs 150 have speed problem. Some of the bikes does'nt go over 100 and some at 90. You can be easily crossed by honda 125 deluxe euro and even the simple honda 125. Thats why people need extra speed. I was also fed up of that. Firstly i checked my diapharam on corborator that had small holes, that was spotted by a mechanic Safeer in RWP near pori pull suzuki shop. The other thing i replaced was clutch plates. Third thing i done was oil adjustment to maximum and forth and final was tappets adjustment. After that my bike first four gears were good. It easily go to 80~90 but in fifth gear it disappointed me again. I came to point that due to 135 weight and less torque i have to modify my bike with the new engine. So what i did, i saw two engines of same GS model i.e. gs200cc and gs250cc. Check the link
    GS engine (200CC) products, buy GS engine (200CC) products from alibaba.com and
    GS engine (250CC) products, buy GS engine (250CC) products from alibaba.com
    These are two engines which can fit in suzuki gs 150 but i think 200cc is good for the suspension and other aerodynamics kind of stuff. The reason why you should not go for gn250 or like because they are old check wikipedia for gn250 history and top speed, it have hardly 110~120.
    Second thing which inspired me is that there are numerous other bikes of 150cc displacement engine but they have speed upto 200+. Would you believe? I am in search of these engines may be i can found some but for your information check the wiki's link.

    There are others like unicorn by Honda. Please check them out. If you go for the project let me know.

    I am really interested in GS 150 it is known to be a good bike but I think spare parts are very expensive as mechnic says. engine swap will be an epic project!
