Question Info Needed regarding Porting Cylinder Head

    hi
as the title suggests.. i need info about the modding the ports of the cylinder head.. has anyone done it..? its a process where the ports inlet and exhaust are opened to allow more air/fuel mixture to burn..
from what i gather from other forums its a good thing and it can give 20% more power... but has anyone did it here ?
some mechanics who do alterations do it.. they recomend it,,
the reason for the increase in performance is that the default factory head are cast and casting has many flaws.. so it takes a huge time and resources to perfecct the ports.. .. for example polish the exhaust port to allow free and smooth flow of exhaust gases.. and to increase the dia of inlet port and also make some raised surfaces for better atomization of fuel/air mixture.. and hence a complet burn of mixture..
u can search online about it,,
    from wikipedia
Cylinder head porting refers to the process of modifying the intake and exhaust ports of an internal combustion engine to improve the quality and quantity of the air flow. Cylinder heads, as manufactured, are usually suboptimal due to design and manufacturing constraints. Porting the heads provides the finely detailed attention required to bring the engine to the highest level of efficiency. More than any other single factor, the porting process is responsible for the high power output of modern engines.
please post the any info if u have

Put 107cc head on it it has bigger inlet port... to increase the port length of genuine head is not a wise decision as the borders will be to thin to sustain the carb. band pipe and in result u got the broken head in near future

porting is for smooth air flow into the cylinder to cause tumbling or swirling depending on the engine design. Cam charecteristics play a big role in this too.

You would need a tiny model grinder and an assortment of stones. For starters, the valve guide boss should be ground so its not sticking in the path way, and then the valve recess should be cleaned up to ensure proper port taper. The valve should not be shrouded within same spec of valve lift. careful time with a grinder proves worthy.
