Alloys are hard to come by, and that is the only obstacle in my current way. Disc brake setups on a spoked wheel (dual front and/or single rear) are however easily available.
Update
So as things stand, I have a not so encouraging news regarding aluminum wheels for the Brothers who were looking forward to owning them. I think I won't be able to entertain many people interested in alloys, especially if they're short on time and need the setup installed on an urgent basis. Haseeb and a couple others were lucky enough to have them installed within half a week, others may need to wait a lot more. The problem with alloys are their straight/through'ness. The one's locally available are either chinese which are expensive (as they're new) as well as crap in build quality. The other used Japanese one's are either ruined by uneducated people throwing them around like garbage or putting tonnes of weight on them, which in turn ruins their balance and hence useless for me to go ahead with the installation.
Now comes the import part that I initially planned to do myself, problem with that is investment. What I believed the figure to be in the beginning is not how it is, it needs atleast 3-4 times more of finances to get them shipped in Pakistan. I won't say I will not go for it (import), but I definitely would need some time to make it work. Cannot make no promises however.
Coming on to the disc brake setup, yes, I do have enough disc brake setups that I could start installing on spoked wheels from today onwards. Alloys do not genuinely have anything to do with the functionality of the actual disc brake setup. The only/sole reason Alloys are mostly installed by people is for the bling bling factor/outlook and that is it, except the fact that a few alloys come in the lightweight category (like the one's installed on Haseeb's bike) which in turn helps very slightly with the performance aspect of the bike. The performance increase/difference is very small and hence you may not even notice it once they're installed. Besides, performance can be added through a number of other means available but that is something for a different day.
For out stationed/out of karachi buyers interested in disc brake setups on their current spoked wheels. There is just a small requisite that needs to be followed and that is the fact that I will not allow any mechanic to install my built setup. I will provide you with all the instructions to install it yourself, heck I can even lend you the tools you'd require, but letting them go through a mechanic you perhaps have endless amounts of trust in, I cannot and will not allow (No offense) anyone else except the owner touch the system. However if you wish to do so, you are free to at your own risk and hence any warranty applicable will be void. I will make sure I guide the owners from the beginning to the very end by any means possible to assist them. I.e Video call, webcam sessions etc. Owners in Karachi are free to come to my place and get the setup installed in front of their very own eyes.
Interested? Send me a PM and I will get back to you shortly.
