    Default Missing at lower speed

    Dear Expertsfficeffice" />

Please help me, i bought new bike UD - 70 2012 model on January 11, 2012.

During break-in period i used it as follows

From 1km to 480km i ridden at 40(Max)-50(rear)km/h and transmission as

Shifting from Neutral to 1st at 0km/h
    Shifting from 1st to 2nd at 10km/h
    Shifting from 2dn to 3rd at 20km/h
    Shifting from 3rd to 4th before 40km/h

Starts pillion riding – double sawari (about 60kg in addition to mine which is 57KG) firstly before 200KM and after 200KM I often used with pillion riding (nearly 50KM) till 480KM.

In addition to above my habit to accelerate the bike is LOCK ACCELARATION. Mean I heard often that don’t ride above 40KM during break-in period and also don’t over accelerate so my habit was that is use to lock my throttle even on little incline surfaces while pillion riding.

After 480km I had changed Engine Oil Caltax (Red) 20-40 and tightened screws etc
    No Carburetor cleaning
    No Air/Mixture Screw touched
    No Tappet Setting
    No Air Filter changed

Currently my bike is at 660KM after approx. 300km bike is losing power while shifting gear like even I am giving throttle slowly(not quick) to get sufficient speed for shifting gear but it is just giving the signal that petrol is going to finish while my petrol tank is full with fuel.

I went to Unique service centre for tuning things but he was going to open carburetor for cleaning at 615km. I stopped him to do that because

I heard some people that we should not open carburetor and leave it as factory fitted once it opened by mechanic and you will visit to mechanic every month to clean or set otherwise it will not work even 15 days or more.

    My questions are

    1. Do we need to open carburetor for cleaning? is it compulsory ?
    2. Do we need to adjust Tappet?
    3. How to solve above mentioned petrol finishing problem while petrol is available.

    JazakALLAH in advance

Yaar the symptoms which you are telling leading me to the solution i.e. cleaning of carburetor because it might be the deposit of carbon which is causing this

    @ e_jazz

Well bro, if opening carb for some adjustment is required then u shudnt hesitate, provided the mechanic is expert. and finding a mechanic who can handle a 70's carb is easy.

Consult two or three mechanics and ask them what they think?

Carb shudnt be opened for a year or so of a new bike. As its is not requied. However if the bike isnt working fine then opening it is the only solution. maybe ur bike is getting over...

check other things, such as too tight brakes shoes. Get ur bike tuned first.

    u only need carb tuning,,
that has nothing so hi fi in it,, only open few scres rmove a jet and clean it ,, re fit the carb readjust the mixture screw,, u r done,,

    do it,,
also its good if u replace air filter,, i normally dont trust company fitted things like air filter, engine oil etc,,and for new bikes one should change them at earlies and use quality items,,

    so just tune carbb,,
tappats agar tak tak ki awaz kar raha jhain then adjust them else dont do now,,,

    @poster
first of all no tappet adjustment required in new bike... agr koi proove kar sakta hai to plz

second chck the plug gap normally all new 70cc bikes are cmng wd LIFAN CHINA plug replace the plug wd Genuine NGK one

ur carb. needs lil setting bas no need for cleaning the carb. yar

kuch new 70cc bikes ki jo filter bottle hai us ka intake thora sa chota hai jis ki waja say thori problem hoti hai

2nd seat kholein bike ki aur u will find a KASHTI type plastic thing us ko nikal lein aur seat fit kar lein

aur waisy bhi CDi bikes dont need so much tuning as they are maintenance friendly

Brother do get your carburetor checked, I think there might be some water in it.

I have replaced from LG Spark Plug to NGK Spark Plug and changed from company's placed air filter to Honda cd70 Air filter but problem still remain the same. now My question is to all expert guys on PW that:

do i need to go to mechanic for opening and cleaning of Carb.
    or
do i need to adjust tappet at this point (is tappet adjustment is related to pick-up issues)
