10W 40 is thinner than 20W 50... Thin oils quickly get in circulation in a cold start up specially in winters and prevent engine from damage, but on high speeds its useless.. it will become too thin.

Likewise thicker oils would damage the engine in a cold start up but keep the engine happy at high speeds, always try to stick with original oil rating, also ideally dont mix oils..

i always change the oil at 750 to 800 km max. and always use caltex havoline. used blaze 4t for the first time but changing it at 600 km. zic was wid me so decided to put it in my bike but the quantity is a little less. if it is not recomMendable so i guess i wont be using it then. using only 10w40 will be okay?

I wouldn't recommend using the 10W40 in bike. I have kept FZR for some time and I used 10W40 in it once thinking that it would prove great in the hot weather but the result was otherwise. I noticed issues with starting the engine both when the bike was hot and cold and also the engine didn't give a very good feel, seemed like it ran hard. I changed that oil only after 100km and getting back to 20W50 was a sigh of relief.

i am not satisfied with the performance. may be alot of people are satisfied but i drive very slow at max 60 and shift the gears at max 4500 rpm. so in my opinion why not spend 75 rs more and get a better oil . i buy it from caltex pump dha phase 1 on korangi road

As a matter of principle NEVER EVER mix oils. 10/40 or 20/50 are SAE grades and are not as important, it is API or JAMA grades that really make the difference and not many people understand them.
Lubrication is a complete science and you may be well advised to save in any field except lubrication.
