    Default Air Filter Oil

Hi guys I own a GS-150 Suzuki and this bike has Air Filter Element mad of Foam.
Recently i have read on the internet that this type of air filter needs to be soaked in air filter oil otherwise the engine will be damaged.
I live in pindi where can i find good quality air filter oil for my bike?

    Try Murree road, commitee chowk.
There are a lot of shops there on both sides of the road.

VW Beetles are typically equipped with an oil bath air filter. They normally use the same oil as in the engine. Morris Minor mechanics would simply apply a gentle coat of grease to attract the dust/dirt and preventing it from entering the air inlet on the carb. Can you dismantle the filter unit and post some pictures here? This will help us suggest something that may work. Also look up the user manual for the type of oil suggested by the manufacturer. You will perhaps have to settle for the nearest alternative.

the other option would be to shift to papper element type filter if the housing is designed to take one. The purpose of an air filter is to supply clean air to the carb and combustion chamber and to keep the dust / dirt away. No rocket science. Again, I need to look at the fictures of the filter element (foam) and it's housing before commenting further.
