Exclamation New to the Bike Realm-LF advice for buying a Bike

    Assalam o Alikum Bros,

I have driven a car only in my entire 9 years driving career, though i know how to drive a bike i never bought 1,reason being the safety concerns of my Parents. Now they think i am wise enough to own one.

Now here is the Plan.I daily cover 30-40 Kms on my way to University.Adiala road to H-12 islamabad.I am in need of a good bike good in fuel economy and comfort. You suggestions would be highly appreciated.Cost/service/life/sale center etc. And for the people residing in pindi the nearest honda 5s dealer is Anmol Honda Center Adiala Road. How are their dealings(satisfaction levels,as most of you guys here own Bike).or if any other dealers you want to advise.

My choice is not limited to Honda, please feel free to comment

    Here are my suggestions:

    Suzuki GS 150cc
    Ravi Piaggio Storm 125cc

In case you are interested in Atlas Honda product consider Honda Deluxe 125cc.

If you are focusing on just fuel economy then consider Suzuki Raider 110cc.

I will not suggest you any 70cc bike.

Raider is basically the same old Sprinter. Engine is same of Sprinter, Pak Suzuki only did Cosmetic changes. You can see the pictures of both bikes and compare them.

.... and a kind mashwara from someone who rode for 4 years almost daily 50km ..buy at least a 100cc class bike..
if economy is a concern then suzuki sprinter is a good reliable choice .. cd 100 is also good..

again dont go fo 70 else it will be very tiring ride .. it will exhaust u..

Ok so cutting it short i am interested in 100-110 cc bikes only. The contenders are Honda CD 100,Suzuki Sprinter 110,Suzuki Sprinter Eco,Suzuki Raider 110.In terms of fuel economy and engine reliability which one you will advise the most.My avg speed should be around 70-80 km/h..and avg travelling 50-60 Kms / day..No 125s cuz i need a equilibrium b/w fuel economy and speed.

Suzuki is good bike but limitation is Parts their parts are available with them at sky-high prices. Its fuel average is always a question on this forum but I guess it is same as of CD 100. It seat was like a Brick but now in raider I hope it will be softened.

Honda CD 100 is again a good bike with 50-55 KM/L average, but again its parts are problem and are bit expansive, however, new bike will not need frequent parts. If you have a chance, drive both bikes and see the difference.

Go for AHL Cd 100 or Suzuki Raider 110c.

Original parts are always expensive, Chinese and local parts are cheaper, it all depends on the quality and brand. looking at the rising prices of bikes, parts prices will also go insane.

There is no yama now .. its cHonda now ... forget it .. dyl is selling a non yamaha at the price of yamaha.. earlier it was yama so u could be sure of yama quality and standards now its dyl no yama so its at dyl whim to put which part suits their bill and profit.. i strongly recomend u to never look at it unless its under 55-60k for brand new zaarou metarrr

in ur case i would strongly recomend honda cd 100 as it got reasonble economy .. cheapest parts compared to suzuki .. easily available compared to suzuki.. though there is no difference b/w suzu and honda in engine wise but somehow our mechanis are good at honda..
very few have good handfull experience at suzu.. and for best suzu care u would have to go to suzu workshop and which may not be always accessible or may be expensive...

if u wan non branded or cHonda 100 then unique has got good bike aas well .. there 70 is good so shall be thei 100 also u can look at super power 100 .. and they cost 55-62k max .. compared to 78k of suzu..

Ok.So many people are advising AHL CD 100..I think i am gonna go for this 1.But i observed people complain about its engine quality and that the engine wears off..And not many CD 100s are there what have covered 50,000 KMs+ ,and its maintenance is also a hassle.

yup you can see a lot of complains in old threads about engine overheating, giving smoke after some time etc.....
don't know if all problems are solved in newer models....
