Exclamation New to the Bike Realm-LF advice for buying a Bike

    Assalam o Alikum Bros,

I have driven a car only in my entire 9 years driving career, though i know how to drive a bike i never bought 1,reason being the safety concerns of my Parents. Now they think i am wise enough to own one.

Now here is the Plan.I daily cover 30-40 Kms on my way to University.Adiala road to H-12 islamabad.I am in need of a good bike good in fuel economy and comfort. You suggestions would be highly appreciated.Cost/service/life/sale center etc. And for the people residing in pindi the nearest honda 5s dealer is Anmol Honda Center Adiala Road. How are their dealings(satisfaction levels,as most of you guys here own Bike).or if any other dealers you want to advise.

My choice is not limited to Honda, please feel free to comment

Honda CD 100 is the best option because 70 have small engine and 125 is hot cake for thieves so 100 is the best solution. Power ki power aur economy ki economy.

Guys Chonda's and Un Branded Bikes are out of the equation. There is a reason why Suzuki,Yama,Honda bikes are a bit expensive than the other models.Pure and simple their quality is far better that Chondas.Money is not an issue,Economy and reliability of a bike is as i am not looking forward to reselling mine,i am sorta shokeen dude.I never sold any vehicles i bought. My daewoo(proud to own one) and cultus. So i am thinking of getting Honda CD 100--if its owners can shed some light on its engine reliability and maintainence. My friends advised me to get a Junoon as you know now its DYL's junoon so i consider it as crap.

junoon is cHonda.. unless its not above 60k and u are willing to dole on it buy it .. else CD 100 is a definite winning choice..

pesky issues do frequently arises in bikes and not able to find a suitable mechanic easily realy pisses... Honda cd100 is a bit immune in this dept..

go for it .. in y opinion its best that u want

Even i would have advised you to get a Junoon if it weren't under DYL management now....
My Junoon has completed 7000Km today and its engine is as rock solid as a bike engine can be. I have tested its power on mountains of Kashmir with a pillion. I have gone from Islamabad to Bahawalpur in one day on it, and have come back from Bahawalpur to Islamabad with a pillion also in one day.
For maintenance all i have done is engine oil change after every 1000Km, and changed air filter once at 5000Km.

oh khuda k banaday ... khud mon say kah raha hai k "I am a shokeen mizzaj" type tu phir bhi CD 100 ... dude I would really sugeest you forget about every thing go to Honda display center have a try of CD100 then ask them to give you a CG 125 for a minute and throtle it and then decide new CG gives good economy, its HONDA so it is releable, and offcourse a time tested macine .. teri meharbani CD100 na laien sab ko galyan de ga wapis akar ..

about Junoon, Paiggo, those are competetive bikes but they are for different taste... dont go any way other then Honda... you will regret!

    public has spoken....
    CD100 has got most votes....
so if you wanna play safe, go with CD100
If you are willing to take little risk , go with Raider... Its got the engine of Sprinter and i have read only good things about its engine on pakwheels. Its a bit risky as there is no review about it on pakwheels yet but you will definitely be getting much better engine.
(Though personally i don't like CD100 design at all, don't like the fuel tank shape of Raider either. Currently only 2 bikes available in Pakistan click me, Junoon and GS150).

ok got it, I suggested CG because you said you are a shokeen guy,,,,.... believe me when u r on CD100 and paiggos and CGs, and GS will zooom pass by, or take a swift start at signal where you have to throttle up your CD to stay in harmony with bigger rides ..... I dont think that any Guy with Good taste really likes that...

in any case I think you must atleast go and ride multple bikes before making descion agay meray Dost apki merxi keep Rockin! stay safe and wear helmt

    Impressive! Gull

may be it is offtopic but as far as I have known junoon from mechanics I always get the real story if we talk only about maintenance and reliability and I have been over hearing a lot about DYL Junoon and Dhoom and mechanics always giving positive feed back when talking to each other or customer ... as I said I dont own a junoon or dhoom but have heard, even they are locally manufactured but far better in quality the Chinese counter parts ?? Of course we cannot compare it with Japs, because that would be un wise.
