Post Cam Shaft with Bearing and Without Bearing...

    Salam,

I would like to have some recommendation about the cam shaft (with bearing or without bearing).

I have Star DL 70 and in near I need to do some repairing in the head. China bikes come with bearing-cam shaft. Will it be a good option if I go for cam shaft without bearing.

By doing this, I know that pick will be a bit less (minor) but it will be okay for me. Top speed is not an issue I normally drive at speed of 60 - 70km/h.

I understand that by fitting in cam without bearing, the bike ride will be much smoother.

Any thoughts will be highly appreciable.

    Thanks and many regards,

The bush bearing needs good metal & much more precision during fabrication/fitting for durable operation which seems expensive as compared to use of cheap ball bearing instead.

    Nice thoughts.

What about the result, I mean the bike ride will become more smoother or any other pros and cons except the fitting overall cost.

I have no experience but i think ball bearing wud have better performance as i have heared that Atlas honda has also started using ball bearing instead of bush bearing in new CD 70.
