Unhappy Help with bike's top speed need

Guyz i bought a Suzuki Raider 110cc in september. Its comfortable, acceleration is very good and roadgrip also is fine. But i have a problem with it that it reaches 80-85 kmph max!!! it only got to 90 kmph twice since then and reached 95kmph only once!!! I take good care of it, i get its oil changed in time and get it tuned at right times. But still it reaches 80 KMPH speed max and sometimes reaches 85 KMPH. I am not much experienced with bikes, infact this is my first bike. But im really worried about its top speed, it never reached 100 kmph. Can it be due to high fuel average (70 kilometers per litre)???

I Need help... can plz someone help me with it???

Please do post pics of ur bike and post some review on it...

Regarding top speed I must say my Junoon can reach upto 95Km/Hr and above that is only achieved with help - sloped road etc.
If ur bike is doing 90, its enough for a new bike. Tuning, clutch and tappet adjustments should do the rest.

Bdw have u completed 1000Kms break-in (running) period of ur bike? U are already overs peeding on a newborn engine

    Dont know why it tops 85kmh only.Even chonda's 3rd hear could go 80kmh max & then 4th.
    I used to clock 110kmh on 2009 sprinter 110cc or i would say 105kmh mostly.Its 3rd gear used to go 90kmh.

I think u are right i got that advice from another person too..... and NOM1 my bike goes to 85 kmph in 3rd gear......and as i mentioned....that once i reached 95kmph i took it to 90 in 3rd and then applied 4th which took it to 95 kmph.

I asked a mechanic and hes said: "Is ki fuel adjustment yehi theek hai......is k 2nd 3rd gears khench k do, bike/engine khul jaye ga to 100 cross kr jaye ga".

My Junoon could do solid 90 just after completing the running... and now it clocks 95~100Km/h max
Considering Raider is 110cc and lighter in weight than Junoon, 100Km/h should be piece of cake for it....

Stop raping your bike. You are getting good mileage so stick with the top speed. If you want more top speed then you will need to make the engine run richer. Adjust the Air-Fuel mixture screw to one turn from fully closed. Try it and see what happens. A 110 cc bike weighing 100-110 Kgs should touch 100. Also the speedos are not accurate as they have a 10% margin of error built in. So your actual top speed is less than 85.

70km/ltr , i am quite sure your carb is set to lean, its not good, if you tried lot for getting top speed on this setting i worry, there will be chance of seizure, first of all get richer the mixture, and when you will have done the correct air/fuel ratio you will automatically feel the difference, its so simple more power with less fuel is impossible, one can easilly check the correct mixture setting by viewing the plug condition, it should be brownish or light brownish, black or light grey are not good, thanks

I have met a another raider owner and he told me that mechanics of suzuki try to increase mileage in every tuning.....therefore they dnt reach top speed......also he told me that his raider can do 110kmph easily even if two people are on that bike......its exactly a matter of fuel adjustment.....and raider bikes ka Piston khulnay mein atleast 5000 km chaiye.......suzuki manufacturers have gone too far to provide comfort that they disregarded performance........still the pick of every raider is awesome!!!

    My advice
don't touch the fuel settings if ride is smooth. enjoy fuel economy.
As far as top speed is concerned, first of all take an android phone and check your top speed with GPS as well to rule out meter error. I highly doubt the meter of Raiders doing 110 easily with pillion, will believe only if proved with GPS as well.
110Km/h isn't that easy to achieve. Can raider beat a CG125 which tops between 100-105Km/h????

Sprinter cruising at 110kmh(on meter) crossed by a Cg 125 cruising at 120kmh(on meter) in September 2008 the rider on zuki 110 was vickytulla who now surely believes that CG dont go beyond 105+/-3 kmh(in real) after checking in GPS now do math for sprinter / raider.

But Vicky do believe it does perform better in pick in 100cc category as he has used it for a reasonable time..

Bhae Jan, once this march thing is over, I'll show you my bike's plug ... It never gets any colour other than black ... while the Main needle in the carb is set to lowest possible thread and air screw is also adjusted to leaner position ... :-o
