    "Motor Oil API SG"

and according to AHL Manual, this oil can be used ... interesting too

Well my experience with Havoline20w50 and honda20w40

Just got my oil changed yesterday..I poured in honda oil again after trying out havo for 950 Kms..Well the bike's response got better with honda oil..Idk why but it feels much smooth..Maybe due to viscosity ratings..I would recommend 20w40 for new engines..

Hey what if ZIC A+ or shell helix Ultra or caltex havoline formula the ones used in cars are used in new 100cc or 125cc bike?
all of them are 5W -30
    They are all fully synthetic
    How would they perform?
    What you guys suggest?

    My little cents on oils...

    Minerals Oils:

    Shell:
With my experience of Shell in my CD70 i can say:
When ever i used shell, bike feels lighter, happier, more responsive BUT the feel fades away quickly and the enjoyment bit goes away quickly too. I'd say it feels sporty but in long run after a few days all the sporty-ness is gone.
    Available shell oils are:
4-stroke engine oils | Shell Pakistan

^^In the above given range Shell advance AX5 is useless as all of our motorbikes dont support this grade: 15W-40
But AX3 and AX3 SAE 40 are usable in CG125 as they are 20W-50

    About Caltex Havoline:
Works best in Honda if you find original one, Good average feel but longer lasting.
The red bottle of Havoline given blow in the link is best for CG125 as it is the correct grade: 20W-40, however mostly the bottle available is 20W-50
    Motorcycle Oil

Motorcycle Oils - Super 4T & Power 2T Motor Oil in Pakistan - Caltex

    Additional about Caltex:
Some oil manufacturers add additives in their oils to enable them that they with stand more temperature extreme - a problem which is very common in Pakistan where there are different types of extreme weathers and when u talk about samll engines its even worse.

Additives help is adding protection but at the same time they turn into sludge over the time and deplete the oil before time, red colour of havoline is because of additives... thus if you guys are using havoline - NEVER EVER commit the mistake of over using it coupling up with harsh driving specially in summers.

Changing Havoline before time would be a better option, shell is a bit more tolerant to late oil changes.

    Now coming to Zic:
Zic and Zipex are the products of: Mass Group: .::MAS Group::.

I have heard people saying its a very thin oil, most of these guys also had their engine ruined after using it. Im sure they did not use the correct grade.

My personal experience with Zipex is quite good, Better than or at par with havoline.
    Zic:
    :: MAS GROUP ::

    Zipex:
    :: MAS GROUP ::

    About Total:
I did not like it much personally, engine sounded as if running on a thinner oil than recommended.
    Its grade is 20w-40
Oils for scooters motorcycles bikes 2-stroke 4-stroke motor fork chain TOTAL for 2-wheelers

    Pso:
Pso blaze is available but i never tried it, i personally dont like the brand much.
    Welcome to Pakistan State Oil

Personally I am using Yamaha Lube in my Junoon and i am very satisfied with it.
Used Havoline once and it did not suit the engine much, Yamalube was better.

    Synthetic oils:
It may sound very fancy but i wont recommend people to go for it, since synthetics are usually tough on weak/marginal engine seals.. thus if you have an old engine/an engine with defect, with synthetic oil its very likely its so pure and thin it would slide through the gaps and you will start burning oil without knowing it.

However... Semi Synthetic oil would be a better option, does any body knows 20W-40 Shell semi synthetic oil? does they offer it?

Havoline 20w50 is not recommended in winters..Bike takes **** load of time to warm up at cold starts..Viscosity of 50 is not recommended in new engines..I just shifted back from havo to Honda oil and the bike response is improved in my Honda 100..Though the running temperature has slightly increased.

it is feeling good because winter is starting now. Go on a long ride, or let summer come, and you will move to 50 again....

Nice information automotorsport_lover. I never saw or heard about the Havoline? Super 4T SAE 20W-40, JASO MA, API SJ.

Is this their new line of product as previously I only know about the caltex havoling API-SG 20w-50 in 1 liter black bottle.

Havoline 4t 20w40 comes in 700ml packing only..So useless for 100-125 cc bikes..Also the oil loses its viscousity at 800Kms unlike havo 20w50

yar price comparison of castrol vs havo ?
if one goes by standards then pso blaze 4t is winning choice as its 270 rs for .7 ltr and its apisg and jaso ma
while shell advance ax3 on site says its jaso ma but on bottle it doesnt says so .. on bottle it only says api-sg . something is fishy here...

    fishy fishy fishy
