Thread: DYL Dhoom December 2011 Problems (I need help)

    Unhappy DYL Dhoom December 2011 Problems (I need help)

    Assalaam O Alaikum!

    Hope you all are fine and enjoying good health, I am new to this forum and its my 1st Thread regarding my problem,

    I own a bike DYL Dhoom 2011 Model in red color i have some problems and need suggestions that how to fix them.

    1st. My bike did not have any pick (uthti nahi hai) means if two persons are sitting than i should move the throttle till end, in easy (bike ka zor zyada lag raha hota hai aur chal nahi rahi hoti)

    2nd. Extra Ordinary vibration karti hai i dont know why..

    Buhat se mechanics ko dikhaya hai 3k-4k tak bhi diye hain different kaam karwanay k but koi fayeda nahi buhat paise zaya bhi kiiye hain..

    kisi ne kaha k iski Clutch Plates change karwao, and kisi ne kaha Honda CD 70 ka carburetor lagwa lo used main le k but socha pehlay yahan se pooch loon.

    Pehlay main yamaha service centre se kaam krwata tha unhon ne acha khasa loota .. But know suggest me a mechanic in lahore, any where from which you personally satisfied.

    My daily average is 30 Km Drive and

    I am really fed-up from my bike, but its my basic need. Kindly give some suggestions that what to do,
    Note: Mileage average is excellent, its giving 48-52 kmpl.

    since when u r facing this problem ? i don't think clutch plates would be worn out it that early ... check ur bike specification, is it 72cc or 78cc .. ??

    mujhe toh rings ka maslaa lag raha hai I mean mera hisaab bike ka engine head khulwaana parhe ga
    go to a good mechanic define your problem to him

    Brother how much ur bike is driven? Warranty men nahi dikhaya tha?
    I know a good mechanic in Lahore, i dont give any guarantee but u can try ur luck with him too... he works at DYL and works as a technician on engine assembly in the company... thus he assembles dozens of DYL engines per day, had also been to japan and other places by the company for training.

    Where do u live? His shop is in Mughalpura and he is only available at evenings after hes back from DYL factory.

    And the problem seems to be with ur clutch/pressure plates.. but can be some other more complx one.

    hi bro welcome..

    i also have this bike but 2009 model ..

    first vibration is part of this bike .. u can reduce it ..
    bike ko double stand pa kara karo .. and check if both wheels rotate freely in both direction .. rear wheel when rotates should not make any noise ... apart from chain noise ..

    u may need new clutch plates .. but bike total kitni chali ha ?
    whats the past histroy of bike ?


    regarding honda carburetor .. stay away as this bike has monster engine of 85cc ... honda is teeny tiny 69cc .. ( .. coincidence for the number hahahhahah) ..


    make sure there is no leak b/w carb and the pipe which joins the carb to bike engine ..

    lube the chian..

    engine oil check karo ..

    is ur bike leaking engine oill .. ?

    if u still have issues .. and are ready to open engine ... (not crankcase .. only head cylinder ) ,, then just make sure u do one thing .. make custom gaskets for the base and the head .. and jitni thin ho sakai bna lo .. i think u can get a custom head gasket as thin as 1mm .. instead of stock 1.8 to 2mm .. and custom base gasket of .5m instead of 1mm .. this will increase compression ratio and pick will be improved ..

    but this is last resort ..

    another thing is try getting a clean road .. where there is no dust yani air clean ho .. then remove the filter lota etc .. yani baghair filter ka bike ko chala ka daik lo .. if bike is runnng in power then u needs to do something with air filter side.. probable new filter and lota assemble laga gi..

    make sure ur bike engine timing is ok.. also valve clearance is ok .. and plug gap is ok .. and use only ngk janyan plug...

    i would recomend u to first try the mechanic that fellow brother @Automotorsport_Lover mentioned ..

    u said ka pick nai ha .. kia pahlay thi ? and kab sa ya kam ho gai ha ? what is its response on single sawari ? and also whats its top speed ?

    its 3rd gear is very powerfull .. i have done 80 on double sawari in its 3rd gear .. and when it was stock and i would mostly like it in 3rd gear on double sawari when i needed the power .. and in 4th gear on long soft smooth roads and rides..

    Pick was awesome for last 3 months ago, kisi bhi honda 70 ko sath nahi lagnay deta tha.. speed 65 tak jati hai bas.. aur double pe bhi buhat kheench k 60 tak jati hai.. i dont have any knowledge of parts and issues, is any body there in lahore who personally give me some time for making my bike issue less, just i want that any body take me to a good mechanic.. and give me some intructions...

    u should try the mechanic that @Automotorsport_Lover mentioned...

    ask him to tune it .. if after proper tuning ur issue is not resolved .. then he will diagnose it further ..

    also dont leave old kharab parts to those mechanics .. after ur work is done . and u are satisfied take those parts with u and sell them in scrap or keep them if u think they will be usefull in gloomy days... this will not only discourage the mechanics from minting money by fooling people in thir double trap .. one selling of new parts on u .. second selling ur used parts to some other person or kabaria..


    kia engine oil ka level pora ha ? kam hotha ha ya nai ?

    can u mention the history of the work done when u said u spent 4k ... what was exactly done by that mechanic.. ?

    Yes, if ur interested then let me know, and plz note paisa tou lagta ha, and trial and error is there, no one is a perfect mechanic... however mashwara Karna iss mechanic seh is v.useful... dil manay tou you can go ahead!

    bro tell me his where abouts, names / cell i would like to go there as well, as my bike is having issues as well (yd 100 4 stroke)

    Bro, many issues, but mainly i damaged my engine by not changing engine oil soon i think, Smoke, vibrations, very noisy from left side where is chain, and bike stopping issue.

    this is total catastrophe ... i was fearing it .. many people dont regularly change/check the oil .. be ready to spend min of 4k to 8k .. depending on quality of items used .. u may have ruined its head .. cylinder... and clutch plates.. hope ur cost wont go above 4k .. if u use chinese parts may be 3k..

    If its only a general overhaul which means head opened, valves etc.. then be ready for 5000Rs. If Connecting rod, crankshaft bearing etc is also involved then can easily near 8,000.

    bro it will be bettery to post a clear video if bike started and on double stand .. and u giving a bit race .. so we listen and see ..
    try to get some video of silencer .. head .. place camera near carb .. and cylinder ..
