Smile Kindly Share your bike's GPS speed

    Hi everybody,
For long time, i had the doubt that bikes 100cc and below usually show much higher than actual speed on the meter.
So today i decided to check my Junoon's meter with my HTC GPS speedometer and i was ready to see about 10Km/h error at high speed but result was much more shocking.
I took the bike to 90Km/h and my pillion friend holding my mobile reported that i am going at 76Km/h only i was shocked to hell, so i told him to hold on and then raved the ***** out of bike , was able to do 110Km/h (on a slight slopy road) but my friend reported again that i am actually going at only 90Km/h according to mobile GPS.

Severely disappointed to know the inaccuracy of my bike's meter and also to know that usually when it is maxing out at 90Km/h, it is actually doing only 76Km/h.
    So
Bike meter 90Km/h= 76Km/h actual speed
Bike meter 110Km/h= 90Km/h acutal speed

So if anyone of you has ever checked your bike's meter with GPS , kindly share it here so that everybody can get the idea of which bike is actually doing the real speed instead of just showing it on the meter.....
Kindly do speed tests in controlled environment only (preferably on some empty road outside the populated areas), and please must wear the helmet at least before you unleash your rides.

PS: I have matched my mobile's GPS speedometer with Car's meter and it shows exactly same speed as on the car's meter so no doubt about its acccuracy. By the way my bike has Alson's speedometer which i think is considered more accurate.
Below is the screenshot from mobile showing maximum achieved speed aka 90Km/h. App name is "Ulysse Speedometer"
Tip to take screenshot in Android: Press and hold down power button, and then press the home button, screenshot will be saved to your camera shots folder.

well definitely its not impossible to achieve 110km/h on delxue
it can certainly achieve such speed, may be not every deluxe or not with every rider
there is even video proof of deluxe touching 120km/h marker during race

I already watched that one.. Iam having a Deluxe meter on my RP.. And on my way back from winder i literally touched 130km/h marker once.. Sadle i turned off the GPS before.. Some deluxe meter shows error..

And certainly its not impossible.. I weight over 90 kilo's with 6ft height and 110/90 tyre at rear.. Still i was able to achieve 106km/h on GPS, Nothing is impossible with ideal conditions..

But at that much high speed you literally loose the comfort of ride. Something RP and Deluxe meant for !!!

A large number of new EuroII 125/150 are unable to maxout and perform this is true it is also true for paiggios, deluxe, and GS to I remember last weekend I was with blue horn his GS is a A+ in engine, accelration and a neat clean Eye candy me being 80kg and BlueHorn being a Big Body man I wasnt expecting gs to cross 110 or some thing but to my amazement it was having hard time crossing 100 and to reach 100kmh it took around half a minute. (road was damn clear no rush and I had all the time noticing bikes responsiveness) then came the over head bridge of Fortress I throttled it to maximum and it reached on only 100 even on downhill

but on other hand I have seen GS in my own hands on double sawari going to 120kmh it was a 2004 model .... the only thing which I always notice is that if bike is going and increasing RPM that means its pushing but if its RPM needles stop bike stops getting more speed immediately ..

to date in stock I saw Hans deluxe making it to complete its RPM(4th gear only) then I had a friend in sabazar his simple 125 completes its RPM (and touches 105+)

these all bikes can really do 110+kmh when in healthy engine and what it really need is a rider and proper rich fuel tuning.

As a rider we never felt need of a GPS certificate to approve, because even one rip of the meter I can tell you I am on 120 from the air banging on my chest and the speed of road grains felt under my tyre.

And I am sure most old riders can also tell that too ...

there are mixed cases here and there among Piaggio, GS, CG and Deluxe. For all i know is that they all are capable of true 100+Km/h speed.

So by this you are not sure about your own proposed system of measuring speed via GPS
