Smile Kindly Share your bike's GPS speed

    Hi everybody,
For long time, i had the doubt that bikes 100cc and below usually show much higher than actual speed on the meter.
So today i decided to check my Junoon's meter with my HTC GPS speedometer and i was ready to see about 10Km/h error at high speed but result was much more shocking.
I took the bike to 90Km/h and my pillion friend holding my mobile reported that i am going at 76Km/h only i was shocked to hell, so i told him to hold on and then raved the ***** out of bike , was able to do 110Km/h (on a slight slopy road) but my friend reported again that i am actually going at only 90Km/h according to mobile GPS.

Severely disappointed to know the inaccuracy of my bike's meter and also to know that usually when it is maxing out at 90Km/h, it is actually doing only 76Km/h.
    So
Bike meter 90Km/h= 76Km/h actual speed
Bike meter 110Km/h= 90Km/h acutal speed

So if anyone of you has ever checked your bike's meter with GPS , kindly share it here so that everybody can get the idea of which bike is actually doing the real speed instead of just showing it on the meter.....
Kindly do speed tests in controlled environment only (preferably on some empty road outside the populated areas), and please must wear the helmet at least before you unleash your rides.

PS: I have matched my mobile's GPS speedometer with Car's meter and it shows exactly same speed as on the car's meter so no doubt about its acccuracy. By the way my bike has Alson's speedometer which i think is considered more accurate.
Below is the screenshot from mobile showing maximum achieved speed aka 90Km/h. App name is "Ulysse Speedometer"
Tip to take screenshot in Android: Press and hold down power button, and then press the home button, screenshot will be saved to your camera shots folder.

Disclaimer: Speed thrills but kills. Please do not abide speed limit

Pakwheels strictly suggests all the drivers/bikers to drive/ride within speed limit and avoid over speeding.

    okz....one thing i tell you
bike manufacturer put the meter lil forward for riders interest
and we cant compare local bikes meter with gps tech
no doubt the gps produce 100% true results
if ones bike do 130 on bikes meter but it appears 120 on gps then us ka mind krna to bnay ga hahahahah
but fact yehi ha k gps ko aap local bikes k meter se compare nhi kr sktay
local meters or chinese meter main speed ka thora zyada difference aata ha mean on gps 100 and on meter 125 or 120
but on japanese meter the difference would minor and its my own experience

Kiddi fight aside and thanx not for provoking more flames lets not mess up the thread...

beside I have a very sad news for GPS syncers as said before if one do not have a secure strip and proper riding kit please do not try this or else close this thread (R1 you were right ye kuam sudharny wali nahi hai)..

One of our very Good PW friend Imran from Gujrat while testing CG and paiggios together ended up in accident last day he called me from hospital and I littlery wanted to %#^#&$)#& him but I controlled my self and asked if he is ok! (Not sure what happened to CG but his RP is complete $^(&*&$%^# )

Then lets come to HAN1911 ... his best friend (the one with Powerplus CG with MADified engine) hit the car in front of us after he got his bike tuned and went for a test ride and started looking at the engine (SH*T) and didnt noticed the up coming car and hit head on now he is in Hospital too with a dozen broken bones..

consider my vote too!!! be second one for putting this thread to halt.

    coz we are getting insane
    but
we have the remote controller in our own hands, we have to put it off which isnt good for us,
    choice is yours
racing or customising the rides are still on since long ago and it shall be continue till the life end
but we should not blame the techs n the toys
this is my point of view, thanks

I had a same point of view before if you see my posts before when r1 proposed I also thought the same but every new guy who hits the thread just turns on his GPS and Drags where ever ...... without even thinking what he is doing can actually can be a decision between his life and death... I just saw to incidence in last weeks who actually just wanted to post their bike result here and ended up in Hospital.

Ansee bro, i am very much surprised at the speeds you are getting from your CG, is it stock???
I am also surprised by the speeds of GS150/Deluxe which also go head to head with your CG
I have pushed a CG125 Euro II but all i could record was 105Km/h. Same case with my GS, max i ever recorded was 106Km/h. And for Deluxe, we consider 100Km/h awesome already.
But with you , all of these bikes are doing 118

Its very unfortunate to know that people are getting hurt while checking their GPS speeds. I mean, Duniya ko Dikhanay k liye people CAN go to limits <_< WTF right <_<

BUT, you guys should not blame this thread because its not the thread which is the problem. Its the people themselves.

I have an idea. Quote these stories (accidents of PakWheelers) and Share them in Opening Post. Format should be as follows.
    1) Stories ~ aka Lessons aka Disclaimer
    2) The Safety Kit ~ To Ride Safe.
    3) The Disclaimer ~ That you or PakWheels hold no responsibility incase of an accident
    4) The tutorial on how to do it - includes the G

I've been a very careful driver and because this nature of mine, i have never been able to reach speeds more than 70-80KM/h ... during my daily driving (whenever i get open patches on Canal Road, Lahore) I brake early, and i brake too much.

I have been trying to measure the speeds of my bike since a few days (not like the first time, but awein for the sake of shugal) with GPS but everytime i try to take it up to max, another Underpass arrives and i reduce the speeds lol
Riders on the storm ... literally.

I love motorcycles, Its my passion since I dont even remember. I hate to say this but I think its better we stop trying to beat each others top speed. I had to stay at LNH hospital as an attendant for one night last week. It was a saturday night and all I saw in the emergency section of the hospital were Road accident cases. I saw some really messed up bodies....

I lost a freind to motorcycling. He died pillion riding on a FZR400 when the rider lost control. A tanker ran over his head. If you havent witnessed a mutlilated corpse you cant imagine how it felt when I saw him.

118KM/hr or 120km/hr........ what are we trying to prove here.....how manly we are..............True spirit of motorcycling is not this......I dont know what it is...but aint surely not this.

    • gull_s_777 ........ you made a monster you cannot control. Do tha right thing.

I guess we have enough of it. This thread is provoking young guys to play with their lives so it must be closed immediately.
