Smile Kindly Share your bike's GPS speed

    Hi everybody,
For long time, i had the doubt that bikes 100cc and below usually show much higher than actual speed on the meter.
So today i decided to check my Junoon's meter with my HTC GPS speedometer and i was ready to see about 10Km/h error at high speed but result was much more shocking.
I took the bike to 90Km/h and my pillion friend holding my mobile reported that i am going at 76Km/h only i was shocked to hell, so i told him to hold on and then raved the ***** out of bike , was able to do 110Km/h (on a slight slopy road) but my friend reported again that i am actually going at only 90Km/h according to mobile GPS.

Severely disappointed to know the inaccuracy of my bike's meter and also to know that usually when it is maxing out at 90Km/h, it is actually doing only 76Km/h.
    So
Bike meter 90Km/h= 76Km/h actual speed
Bike meter 110Km/h= 90Km/h acutal speed

So if anyone of you has ever checked your bike's meter with GPS , kindly share it here so that everybody can get the idea of which bike is actually doing the real speed instead of just showing it on the meter.....
Kindly do speed tests in controlled environment only (preferably on some empty road outside the populated areas), and please must wear the helmet at least before you unleash your rides.

PS: I have matched my mobile's GPS speedometer with Car's meter and it shows exactly same speed as on the car's meter so no doubt about its acccuracy. By the way my bike has Alson's speedometer which i think is considered more accurate.
Below is the screenshot from mobile showing maximum achieved speed aka 90Km/h. App name is "Ulysse Speedometer"
Tip to take screenshot in Android: Press and hold down power button, and then press the home button, screenshot will be saved to your camera shots folder.

Wohi yar max. max. b tou 97-98 tak...
And i got some slopey roads today, but they were too short, had to brake each time got near 90...
So this must be somewhere on the plain road..

    Note that I weigh 97Kgs..!
And was wearing quite a non aerodynamic jacket today :/
Too much air resistance during most of the journey, but itay lambay trip pe kahin jack lag gya jo 88 pohanch gai pta nai kese? I was expecting even lower than 85!

And gull, my bike never ever crossed 100 by its own.
max. Speed on meter had been 102-3 which I have ever seen, that too going down the underpass...
But on plain road meter sticks at 91-2 if there's too much wind drag,
95-6 shown on a flat road easily..

And best it goes on flat road on a lucky day is 98

My expectations are less form CD100/pridor as it is more commutin focused bike, but interested to see some numbers from sprinter/raider.

Today I was with Asad BHai AKA Master the great @masterr100.I enjoyed his company alot. Very wise guy MASHA ALLAH.
We were at ring road baki to ap smjhdar hi hain.Aj kal GPS speed testing or synchoronizing ka hi to charcha hy.

Asad bhai started riding his bike with me(Pillion riding). There was just 5kmh difference with GPS.Also odometer is accurate.

With pillion riding 105kmh top speed & 99kmh at GPS.There was atleast 60kg+90kg=150kg weight on bike.
Hmmm. . .Good but I was more interested in checking top speed alone. So Asad bhai given me honour to test his bike.
Gone alsone for speed.Did 110kmh at straight road without doing head down.
Then did head dow.Bike topped 120kmh@10k RPMS only.
Immediately seen reading at GPS it was 118KMH. At straight ring road.
Will post pic later. Some prob in uploading.

    Hello All,

FYI, all of you are using cell phone's GPS to measure speed which is built only for commercial use (accuracy is around 100~200 meters which is a big tolerance).... if you want these result to be real you have to use GARMIN GPS which normally pilots use then you will get same speed which you bike's meter is showing.

bikes meter is more accurate because its a mechanical speedometer, it is not connected to any third party satellite or so...

there is another option to check accuracy of your bikes meter, ask some of your friend to catch you on some CAR like GLI, CITY etc and then compare your bike's speed with the car speedometer, i am sure they will be exactly same.. i have mapped the speed o meter of yamaha junoon and CD70 and TOYOTA GLI all are giving same speed.

Irfan bhai you concerns is quite valid but if you see results are comming quite correct no bike did extra out class ager 100~200m ka fark hota tu hona aesy tha k cd-70 ki speed 120kmh any thi or CD125 ki 60kmh ...

what I would do If I did this test on some bike that I wll also sync a car to see the difference between car, bike and GPS meter to know actually reality, what do you say about that.

Syncing with car or a heavy bike is what what I always did ... and the CGs I had then Paiggo always have a error rate of +5~10km must... GS500e had perfect meter when I had then cars meter shows perfect...

Hey Silver_Knife why dont you give a hit to your paiggo, I really want to know what it actually does, I could have done it on my bike but its old and as I have abused so much I know it cant, it has only8~9 PSI pressure left in rings.

beside I have read alot in your post that it hits 120 easy wesi while traveling to karachi so lets see if it really does because mine never did... may be because I have been a bad rider lollzzzz
