Question Kixx Semi synthetic Oil.. Suggestion req.

    So guys..

Today I had done some routine maintenance work of my bike, such as pressure wash, waxed, oil changed, chain adjustment and lubrication and got all old cables washed with petrol and oiled them with fresh oil... basically all stuff that was necessary after driving through heavy rain!

But the notable thing is that i have used Kixx engine oil in my bike today, previously I had been using Yamalube that is Yamaha's genuine engine oil and suggested for Junoon and is API-SG, JASO MA but it wasn't the best protection for my bike and i could feel that, the sound of bike would change soon after changing the oil.. back to a used, old oil.

    • The Kixx engine oil I have used this time is API-SL, JASO MA.
    • My Yamaha Junoon's manual says it requires API-SF , But this Kixx oil is semi synthetic and API-SL grade.
    • This means I have jumped from SF or SG to SL that is 3 or 4 levels jump!! Petrol Engine Grades :- SA, SB, SC, SD, SE, SF, SG, SH, SJ, SL, SM.

    • Now please advise is this decision good? or I should stick to genuine oil?

For reference: Mine is SL grade.. website only has SJ, so posting its pics.

Yaar as the print screen from website states its for much high end engines.. but at the same time its JASO MA. Which means its fully safe for wet clutch engines... Bike has got new energy, its much smoother and quieter! Seems much better lubricated but im worried kahin mera old technology engine isko support nah kar paya tou??

Bdw i asked the oil dealer and he said this oil has had good results in CG125 and people have been using it.
Change interval he suggested was 1200Kms. which i think can be stretched safely to 1500Kms. but i plan to stick to 1000 - 1200 Limit as recommended.

This seems to be a oil compatible with wide range of engine types, both high end and a little lower tec too... I hope everything works fine with it, if it does then im always gonna go for this now onwards.

APi-SL oil grade is perfectly suitable for motorcycles..Being JASO-MA is is compatible with Japanese wet clutch engines..This oil has an edge as its semi-synthetic 80% mineral 20% synthetic..Way Better than that stone age Yamalube
The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.

    Price mentioned above too... 450rs/ltr.
There's no harm in switching brands if the oil grade is same.
And is compatible... I had compatibility confusion, but its fully compatible.

I think u can use it in ur GS too.. it has 20W-50 rating

oh sorry i was unable to see the price.
and that is what i was thinking to give it a try in my gs. i just changed the oil 200 kms done on it. used havoline again bcoz did nt find any other option. but will give this a try the next time i go for an oil change. it is easily available in the market?
i guess it will be a better option. do share your experience after the oil have done 500-600 kms

Yes i guess it is becoming popular in the market slowly, i have seen it available at an oil store in ample quantities and also at a bike spare parts shop ( you know bike spare part shops only keep trial and tested oils which sell easily)

and i will surely post my findings later.. up till now have just driven a few KMs on it and the sound and feel was better than Shell's Yamalube.
