nothing serious ... use WD40 on these areas to keep them away from further rust formation..

Actually WD-40 will ruin the black paint on your Engine Block......WD40 has the tendency to eat up paint.
Use WD40 everywhere else....... except on the engine.

I'm afraid the only way to stop the block from the surface rust you have repaint the block with heat resistant paint. The aftermarket heat resistant paint is tougher than what it had originally. I think its cheap fix.....

I think as long as your engine is sealed....... its ok to paint the block. Painting will not decrease the Resale value. Everyone knows now that newer bikers tend to rust at the engine block. No big deal.

These high temp paints come in both Aerosol Spray Paint cans and also in traditional tin packs. My brother painted his Chondas Engine block with a paint brush. It was satisfactory finish. It could have been better but he was too lazy to prep the area before painting and he applied a little too thick coat. Just dont make the same mistake.

    Good Choice! Great Color combo!
Actually you can also achieve the "Black" in the above picture by Powder Coating. I'am pretty sure the person who did the paint job above must have taken the engine apart. So if you ready to lose your engine's virginity, take it apart for good results.
