Default Advice Needed in Buying a New Bike

    Dear Pakwheelers Bikers
I am going to buy my first brand new bike 70cc. Kindly advice me which is the best bike in 70cc category except Atlas Honda in terms of performance, durability, reliability, millage, warranty, parts availability and resale. My options are
    1. Metro
    2. Roadprince
    3. Eagle
    4. Pak Hero
    5. Any other good brand.

Also kindly tell me what things to look for when purchasing a brand new bike and how long can you use your bike without registration. Thanks in advance!

    Always obey traffic rules!!!!!!

    Welcome brother for your question!

Actually there are many CHONDA brands as you named and also add some more like

    1. Ghani 2. Ravi 3. United 4. Super Asia 5. Super Star 6. Super Power 7. Unique

    Now

one thing you have to keep in your mind that all these use China engines.
Secondly they purchase the parts from almost same dealers.

Now if you see METRO, see its engine side covers, they are made up of plastic.

Like wise see the quality of other bikes by seeing their PART'S POLISH in context with the HONDA CD70, Battery (AGS, EXIDE etc?), Tyres (Servis, Panther etc?) their service centre, dealership for aftersale service.

After comparing all these you may purchase UNIQUE 70, RAVI 70, GHANI 70, ROAD PRINCE 70.

Unregistered Bikes chalanay ka trend shoro hogaya hai. My brother bought a cd70 2 months ago model 2011.....it too was unregistered and he got it registered after purchase.

It depends.......I would advice...foran kerwa liya jaye.

Brother in Lahore, Govt. has asked the motorcycle sellers that they collect the fee from customer and get registered the bike by themselves otherwise they will be responsible for any misuse of the bike.

However circumstances in Karachi may be different and it varies by city to city.

Thanks for your advice. Please elaborate why I should prefer buying Dhoom over unique, Metro or other brands. Anything special ?

Thanks for giving me a detailed advice. Kindly rank the bikes currently available in the market in terms of the parameter I have described above. Or in short - which bike is bang for the buck for beginners ? and could be easily used for 5 years ?

DYL Quality control is better which means sub-par quality parts are not used to assemble a bike whereas in case of others they use cheaper parts on some units of a batch to keep the overall costs low...... It will not happen with DYL

performance of all CHONDA is same
durability & reliability can be found in the bikes which are CHONDA but their price is above 40,000Rs
millage depends on engine and the engine is same in all i.e of Displacement 72 cm3 and if you purchase a bike of 78cm3 bore then there will be difference in millage.
warranty policy is also the same but in case of METRO they give one year full warranty along with Insurance of Bike.
parts availability is everywhere where there is HONDA CD 70
and resale depends on your usage, care etc.

So I prefer UNIQUE 70 & RAVI 70 for all the above points and METRO 70 for Insurance policy but in my opinion partwise it is a down graded bike.

I hope you have found your answer
