Default Install Pod Filter in cHonda's and Hondas [ pics attached ]

the picture should make it clear what i did..

i just removed the lower pipe from stock filter lota of normal chonda bikes .. then heated it on fire when it became soft i inserted the pod filter in it . then i used a lock like thing used in gas/water pipes and afixed the two things .. then i applied some insulation tape on it to hide all the leaks so bike breathes through the filter only ..

do not tighten the lock too much ..

now when fitted in bike its awesome fit ... it stays just above battery ...

after this mod bike breathes much better and quickly responds to race .. though my moded bike is not making enough compression which is like hardly 7:1 .. but still i see its advantage ..

for those who are using stock chondas of 78 cc cylinder they will see a lot improvement in my opinion as thats in reality 88cc and also makes 9.1:1 compression . so try it and tell us .. how it worked with stock 78...

the filter itself costs 150 RS and was bought from Lifan shop in rawalpindi on murree road .. now it will be cheap .

    thanks

@asjdsm Sir any advantage over cleaner element installed inhonda cd and cg?? Well the assembly shown does improve airbreathing as compared to the cleaner element..

regarding availabilty go to any shop they will surely have it .. though it may have some desi name .. and it has one which i forgot now ..

mukri or something like this ... but i dont remember exactly..

regarding its advantage over cleaner element or rather its disadvantage is that its not as restrictive as the paper filter .. so while paper filter will allow much cleaner air for it to breath and thus longer life of bike at the expance of performance .. on the other hand this pod filter will allow performance over the expense of reduced engine life ..

but if u are in cleaner environment then i dont think that pod filter will severly degrade life .. it will matter much if u are in very dusty area .. as it wont provide that fine filteration ..

i Once thought to do something like this as this is the best performance setup for air filter in 70
One thing the filter is right in the way of air so there will be plenty of fresh , cool air for filter
also it is said that lesser the distance between piston and filter better it is
and there is one more thing which is better but need some brief explanation
Can,t think of a better signature

I tried a paragraph but could,t explain but its just about the direction of movement of petrol and air is reversed in this case and this thing has a verrrrrrrry small advantage over stock setup

i tried it with my thoom but it was touching the front mud guard ..

some chondas have sufficient space so you can install it without reversing the direction ..

and this yours breed of chonda is a new variation .. in which it can easily be reversed and still not touching the front mudguard..

fahad bhai .. Carb is visibly can be noticed to much titled from its original position it can not perform any better (I bet it would perform worst then stock being titled heavily) while putting big carb I face the issue that Carb was touching the chassis so I had to get the fuel bend tooled so that carb can be fitted where it is suppose to be.

with this filter the throttle response is instant & which i never get with the stock airox. I was also concerned with the tilted carb i know , I thought that it may need a L-type manifold . But it didn't showed any negative symptoms . one can install a L-type mainfolid to correct its tilted position thats not a great issue.
