Default Visual Conversion of an old model motorcycle to R1

    Okay,
I am going to start up a new conversion project of a 90s model motorcycle and modify it visually to match the newer motorcycles today eg Yamaha R6. Ive already planned out on an excellent painter who will be giving it a paint job to match the newer bikes. Now i need suggestions from you people whether this project is feasible or not. Remember we are talking about visual changes only. I plan to buy a 250cc within a budget of 1.5 lacs. Do you guys have any suggestions on which motorcycle would be ideal in looks to match a yamaha R6. Also, i would require the headlights and tail lights of an R6. Do you think they can be fitted onto an older model bike with some modification?

    Thanks.

Rather than copying a newer model, which is really difficult ...... it would be easier and cooler if you try something like this:
Visual Conversion of an old model motorcycle to R1 - Honda20Hornet20Streetfighter

Visual Conversion of an old model motorcycle to R1 - cbr 90rr

Whatever you end up with..... look for a Bandit.......its a good platform for modification. You can source Chinese replica body kit of YAMAHA R6 or R1 or CBR from ebay.......they wont fit and will require modification to fit it to a bandit frame as these kits are designed to fit the original bike. Rather than finding a painter.......look for a fiberglass worker....... he would be your key man!

Yeah 250cc would make for a slimmer base. So any suggestions for a fibreglass worker?
