Default having problem in unique UD70 2011 Model...

salam to all pakwheelers. guy i bought a ud70 2011 model in mint condition few day ago, sold other bike to save some money. bought this one just b/c its recent model and may not give any kharcha for few months. bike was ok from the date of purchase. two days ago i took it to mechenic for tunning n oil change. after oil change the bike's engine is producing weird sound in 3rd gear. the sound starts when i put bike in 3rd gear and it goes away after shifting it to 4th gear. mechenic chkd the bike very carefully n said k 3rd gear shaft is creating sound. he told me that either i have to replace the 3rd gear shaft of completely install a new gear set to overcome the issue.

ab almost recent ka model hai, to overcome the issue engine will be opened. means k worth will come down. what u guys suggest ? should i get it fixed of should i sell it in market n get rid of that chonda bike.

    plz advice.

Chamber khulay ga.........and any buyer will notice that the engine is unsealed. Obviously the resale will go down buy around 3k.......not much......I think 3 k is bearable....the real thing is you get a tension free vehicle and for that you need the attend to the problem and resolve it ASAP. Werna jitnay late karogay..........utna damage zaida hooga aur phir shayad poora gear set hee change kerna paray.
Bikes don't leak oil, they mark their territory.

    ^^ that is the point
aur kharcha bhi buhat karwaaega ustaad
engine khol ke bole ga piston bhi kharaab he vavle bhi kamzoor hai
engine Rod bhi kamzoor hai waghera waghera
so much wise & better you sell this bike & get some other flawless motorcycle

@Aximmaxim my question is off-topic but would really appreciate your bike expertise..Does cleaning the centrifugal oil filter in Honda models involves opening the chamber??seals shall come off too but the cleaning is important dont you think?
The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.

Honda does recommend cleaning centrifugal oil filter
but no mechanic here says there is any need of doing it

Engine right crankcase cover is opened so its seals are broken
so there are big chances almost 100% expected
it would little leak i mean minor oil stain spots from seals
engine will become dirty & look ugly.
But i always feel why would it leak if process is done properly
i mean after cleaning oil filter replace seals with new ones
but again one doubt raises, problem will be availability of geniune seals
which do their job like new one's

well guys thanks for all the replies, i got the problem fixed by re-installing new gear set of CRLF. mechenic charged a total of 1600 for the task. opened the chamber very carefully and replaced the old worn out gear set. did'nt removed the main chamber seals. re-assembled the engine. washed everything. all task was done in evening of 20th May 2013. till now i have driven almost 93km after that fix. no oil leaks have seen so far. will inshallah take the bike to market n will sell it off.
