    Talking How to Speed up/ Boost Performance of bike

    Dear here i am starting this thread to start discussion and learning how to boost performance and in some case speeds of any bike, the basics which should be checked and market practice by our some professionals and some other Street Ustads by modifications like Yamaha yb 100 Riken cylinder, and some changes in Gear box changes.

    I Request all Senior members to please input their experiences..........

    How can i boost up the speed of CG 125...i just got the first tuning done from honda center...and the mechanic seemed to be a reasonable guy.....however i am having a hard time to reach 100 KM mark...i did it once during the "running period"....now it would hardly reach 95KM on islamabad expressway....i heard from my friends that CG reaches 110 quite easily but i have been unable to experience this so far........i have got all the screws, tappets tightened during the first tuning as it was suggested...now there is no vibration but no 100 KM .....help please

    if u want to boost up speed then u must have alteration in engine.
    i remember that when i was in college, one of my friend own Kawasaki GTO-110. Its engine was altered. According to him its 4th or 5th gear was replaced with big one. At that time no one could beat him.

    Dear Check your spark plug and Secondly try again with right air pressures in tires, secondly what is your own weight.

    Same is the problem with my CG Delux 2012 model. After acceleration at one point, my bike behaves like fuel has been over and in some cases it completely turns off. I checked fuel supply but that is ok. What to do now? As per my anticipation its problem of current i.e CDI unit. One of mechanic told me that current CG has ever worst CDI system which is very weak. At a certain point to reduce the top speed, CDI system start to resist or what we say supply low current.
    @shazimzahir bro, have u replaced the CDI system? R1 has some experience in this field. Lets see if he could help us. In put from @vickytulla is also highly appreciated.

    I did'nt understand the problem completely let me re phrase it what I understood..

    your 2012 almost new dlx starts to choke and stall after certain accelration ... when it starts to do that what is the RPM needle showing ?

    the CDI unit is pretty simple in our CG its a bunch of gates and transistor nothing complicated so I doubt the Carb or Plug condition/Gap adjustment.. first if it is OK then I would replace the CDI with some friends CG to see if it works fine with other bike CDI to make sure its the CDI.

    CDIs are capacitor chargers most of the timing a faulty wire dis-charges the capacitor even before the current is passed to ignition coil,

    3rd Doubt is on Ignition coil .. isky ilalawa koi or cheez invlove nahi hoti inmen say he kuch kharab hai ... now you can narrow down according to symptoms you are noticing.. or share with us we can narrow it down for you..

    hhahaahah good question, i am a fat guy and my weight is 110 KG....But does my weight allso count? Will I have the same problems if i switch to GS 150?

    just change your fueul tanks cover... i owned cd 70 and same problem occured to me... i opened up the feul cover their were loads of rust blocking the entry of air... do this it will be ok

    Do also change your plug for better performance as i did, in Two motor cycles, there is hell difference in normal plugs and this one, it cost little bit around 1500 but work excellent.

    you will find from sports bike shop. ask Iridium plugs if not found, ask platinum plugs.
