Thumbs up Who says achieving 1000 kilometers is a must for complete break in process.

Update: Breaking procedure is a must i was wrong earlier. Almost everyone around me used to say bike rawa ho ke ati hai. I always wondered how can this be possible. They can't run each and every bike on dynos for 1000 kilometers. In a factory after the bike is completely assembled they start it up and check all gears for hard 30 seconds. This is done by quality control workers. All new metal parts in a new engine require smooth finish and proper facing with each other for better engine life and performance.

When i started it for the 1st time there was no sound of loose valves at all.Slowly and slowly sound increased.Today before touching 100 sound coming from valves was quite loud. It's a sign of perfectly seated valves because i have kept many brand new Chondas before.

Sir G its important to break in bike properly
if you ignored the guidelines given by the company
and went on to touch 100km/h+ speed its nothing special you have done
how ever a common man who purchases & he cares for his bike
    He Must follow procedure

Simple baat aap ne koi barha kaar-naama anjaam nahein diya

and yeah its good to know CG touched 100+ marker halaake aap ne jaise
bataaya aap heavy bande ho uski bawajood

Breaking in of the engine is no where mentioned in the manual.Plus Honda never says to change oil 3 times before 1000 kilometers. It's a quality bike.Such things are mentioned on Chondas usually.Mere se pucho tou 100 kilometers is enough on a quality bike like Honda.Sabki apni apni soch.Plus i have seen people on Pakwheels who break in till 1000 still they didn't achieve 90+ right after the break in.It's how one breaks in not how long. All about quality not quantity.

There are equivalent quality bikes in market and they all need break in. Break in is not primarily for topspeed. Its for determining the long life of engine. And for godsake its Atlas Honda stop thinking like its harley davidson. You are having such dilemma cuz you have kept to many chondas.

ohh mera bhai Ek Nazar Apni CG ke manual pe daalo
there is quite clearly written about Running Period Of Bike
there is no difference weather its chonda or your ahl honda
running period is important for both, its logical scientific process

Atlas honda recommends to change first two quick oil changes
par if some one can afford whats wrong in that
showroom owners & even honda mechanics say change first immediately
which is the bike from company

i find this method very nice
    first oil change on 200/300km
    2nd oil change 500/600km
    3rd oil change 1000km
later on every 1000km great timing to change oil

His bike's sound will get ghatiya after 3,000 kms either he properly breaks in or not. (Thanks to Atlas for CG 125 Euro II manufacturing fault).
@Xarak, Get your bike warranty claimed as soon as the clutch box goes mad and starts to produce a noise. Once that will be resolved, you will be a happy CG owner.
And don't worry about the sound getting ghatiya, they are just rumors.

if you did not feel any difference does not mean that the running period is just crap. it is how much you understand the machine and you know that how it will work in the future. many people can hit 100 speed the very first day but its not something good. khair its your money your bike whatever you do with it.
people need to grow up sometimes and act MATURE !

each new engine is tested to it's limit.Given full throttle and after assembling the bike the bike is driven atleast 2 kilometers with full throttle.Nothing happens.
