    Thumbs up Who says achieving 1000 kilometers is a must for complete break in process.

    Update: Breaking procedure is a must i was wrong earlier. Almost everyone around me used to say bike rawa ho ke ati hai. I always wondered how can this be possible. They can't run each and every bike on dynos for 1000 kilometers. In a factory after the bike is completely assembled they start it up and check all gears for hard 30 seconds. This is done by quality control workers. All new metal parts in a new engine require smooth finish and proper facing with each other for better engine life and performance.

    very good step bro .... ride it to its fullest... we don't need to break in with strong bike like cg125..... its an advanced machine which came from AHL after proper quality check already ... aisay hi 1 lakh ki bike thori hai k banda khareed k bacchon ki cycle ki tarah chalayay.... yea break in period to kamzor engine hazraat k liay hota hai...

    Haha. Some of the last posts made me giggle.

    I know Paki awaam main patience naam ki koi cheez nai hay, but phir bhi ... pushing a brand new bike like that is exactly like ... doing it from behind.

    1000kms figure is exaggerated anyway. Normally after 300-400 kilometers bike begs to be treated like a b*tch

    at least do the running till 300km. At 300km, change the oil and then ride as you like.

    The point is.. You did a good job. But because it was an orthodox step, most people will oppose you.
    I have always insisted that any 4 stroke engine be it a car or motorcycle or even a generator, it should be Broken-in properly.

    Now a Proper Break-in means: Run it on full load and push it to its maximum rpm (but by slowly throttling it up).
    That is the only way to get the valves and piston rings smoothly set up against the cylinder linings.

    Having said that, You should do your first oil change within 100km run. Metal slug should be purged out of this rapidly grinding metal box (a.k.a Engine Gear Box).

    Yar bike k liye break-in process zruri hota hy Jab main ny CG buy kiya tha to ullu k pathay Honda walay nay mughay kaha k CG apna break in process completer ker k ata hy company say i asked him again and again he said no problem just ride it the way u like still i followed the break in process for around 100 to 150 KM and after that i rode it from Gujranwala to isb on full throttle and after a month with in 1000KM rode it back to Gujranwala or yar Kasam say bike ka maza a gya 120+ easy as i,m only 65 and it was 2010 model so i was very happy k meri bike akheer hy the same way u r feeling and than after around 3K one day i decided to go to lahore just for some driving and bro beleive me bike 100 touch e nai ker rai thi or engine noise aisa lag rha tha engine main cotton mill chal rai hy and after 10 km drive i decided to go back home .....

    Just after 100 i felt the bike is asking for it.Valves were quite loose and i had a feeling now it's time

    Well thanks.The thing is i started increasing speed in 4th gear.Obviously no normal person would push it hard in 1st or 2nd gear.
