    Top speed:
If the speedo shows 140km/hr top speed doesn't mean the bike will ever touch that speed. Its a de-tuned CG clone and as its weight is relatively similar to that of Classic CG therefore the maximum it could do is match the top speed of a CG (highly unlikely)...... which is no more than 110km/hr in favorable conditions.

Complete the initial breaking in, get the tappets tighten and re-run the top speed test. Dont expect it to go faster than a CG-125. The best it could do is match the figures.

    Engine Power Band:
Its an OHV engine (over head valve) and it would lose power over the maximum power band. Everything on your bike is developed and designed to work within the red line limit of the engine RPM i.e carb, cdi etc etc. The maximum power this engine produces is somewhere near 9,000 RPM and anything over that will not give you more power.
Bikes don't leak oil, they mark their territory.

No you haven't. you have just seen it on the meter.
Those 100CCs are capable of 90Km/h at best. Thats why you have seen CGs going faster than you.

    Faulty Meter dude:
That must have been a faulty speedometer. The most accurate way to register velocity is by using GPS speedometer. If you have a smart phone and a GPRS connection you can test the "real" top speed of your bike with an GPS speedo app. Stock CG classic can never touch 130km/hr. I had a CG-125 point model, It maxed at 95km/hr. These 125cc cg series engines(OHV) hav good acceleration but they will never match the top end horse power of a more advance OHC engine which you will find in GS and GD series of suzuki.

If a CG 125 cant touch 130km/hr mark........how can a stock super power 100 be soo quick.

    CG-125 worth Rs.200,000/-
A friend of mine had a highly altered CG-125....... he bought it brand new and then spent another 100k to make his CG faster. That is the fastest CG I had ever ridden. He told me he checked the top speed of that CG by running it along a car and used the Car speedo to ensure the top speed of the bike. After spending months tuning and fine tuning the engine and spending more than the cost of a new bike itself......he managed 130km/hr. I highly highly doubt a stock SP100 or even YD125 can achieve such feat in stock condition.

    Rumor:
Its a rumor and I have to check it personally but I have been told by a die hard GS150 fan that the new GD-110 is faster than CG-125. I'm a little skeptical about it however theoretically its possible.

Congratulation on this beautiful purchase. The looks are a killer. Do complete the break in period as its essential for the safey and long life of the engine.

You certain, bro? I mean, was your speedometer okay? I had Honda CD 100 (2010) and the maximum I reached on it was 105 - 110 km/h. Since you said you saw CGs and Deluxes going faster than that, I seriuosly doubt your speedometer was giving you correct measure of speed.

Quite an interesting piece of information. Also, satisfying to know this since I have made up my mind for GD 110.

I would suggest you to hold your horses until engine break i is complete..Your bike demands respects and perfect care,,Initial break in completed religiously ensures long life of the engine and lets it perform to its peak power.
The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.

No problem dude! Im not a suzuki fan either, infact I really hate the GS150. Its not reliable, its no looker, it sounds boring and its expensive. I'm a CG lover myself....but facts are facts....and the fact is.....GS150 has a better top speed and better road manners than a CG. Yes CG accelerate faster but that is not because of the engine but bcoz of the power to weight ratio .

I havent test driven the GD110 yet but I know for a fact the built quality is spot on....(Jap assembled) and has the most comfortable shock to hit the pakistani market............some say it is quick........and if thats true.........maybe It would be the first suzuki I just might buy
