One of my commercially used Chonda 78cc model 2008 with 35k km on the clock is giving me hard time. My rider has complained the engine stopped running all of a sudden and no matter how many times he tried to kick start the bike wont start.
I thought the engine wasn't producing current but I checked and the spark was there. Then I unscrewed the spark plug and found it was oily. It wasnt only the tip of the plug but some oil was also on the threads of the plug as well. I cleaned it with a piece of cloth and examine the plug. The tip was chocolate brown as its suppose to be. even though there was oil on the plug but somehow it didn't burn and there was no carbon residue on the plug itself and the bike started in first kick after I cleaned it.
An oily plug is suppose to look like this......but the plug I examine was not like this.
It was oily like this, infact after I cleaned it gently with a piece of cloth it looked perfectly fine.
It worked fine for a few days and then all of a sudden same thing happened again and now its worse. It refuses to start every 2 hours or so. I checked the exhaust smoke..... I damn sure there is no white, black or blue smoke coming out of the exhaust.
Judging by the symptoms, what do you think the problem might be?
As far as I know if there is oil on the spark plug .....it means .......oil is leaking into the combustion chamber, .........which means its either getting there from worn out valve guides or rings....... But if that would have been the case there should be smoke and reduction in oil level, but everything is fine.
Has anyone experienced the same before. What do you think I should do? I dont want to open up the engine as its a commercial bike and I really really need it on the road, otherwise I would have been mid way in the overhualing right now rather than creating this thread.
Who can help? Do you think it needs a top end rebuilt. Im guessing head khullay ga. I will be really fu*ked up if it goes to the workshop in week days. I need a quick fix. Who can help? I'm desperate!
I was thinking agar oil level kam ker doon engine ka to shayad temporarily issue resolve hojaye and weekend per rebuilt kerwa loon. Will it work?? Koi jugaar batao bhai!
