Either get a proper HID reflector (which would be very expensive) or best is to get imported H4 bulbs and use headlight from a Japanese bike. Those who have seen the throw of my gs150 and my gs500 always forget about Hid. A PBC member 7thgear was planning to get HID kit but he dropped the idea after seeing the sun flash in front of my bike

Best thing would be to get a headlight which is metallic and has a glass. Then put a 100w/90 bulb and enjoy rides at night Also upgrade the battery to atleast 7amp. HID is waste of time. And if your bike has dipper, then that 100w beam would be enough to let atleast 100 cars know that u intent to overtake Just ask vickytulla

On the other hand, if you can get a proper HID reflector (probably need to import), then it will have atleast double the brightness of any halogen bulb and lamp.

    its combination of following:

    1. heavy wiring to carry current without melting and cut-outs
    2. a good quality h4 bulb. You can easily get imported ones from good reputed car shops
    3. metal reflector with glass beam. This headlight, which I sourced, is from a gs400. Any such headlight will do. Dont worry about fitting, a denter can easily fit those Although mine was bolt on fitting

Gs150 already has a 8 amp battery so I didnt need to change

I hate using HID without proper HID reflector as it will only blind the traffic while you will still not be able to get a nice beam. And as brother fazalwahab11375 has correctly pointed out, it is un-ethical too. But if you have $$$ to spare then get a proper HID housing and reflector with a good quality HID kit for motorbikes (both of which will probably need to be imported). Then you will have more bright light than any halogen bulb (of similar wattage)

It will be going off-topic. You wanted to know about HID and I hope I have explained well. Else refer to the two threads that I have referenced
