    Default Motorcycle Engine Oils

Aslam Alikum, Immediately seeing the title you may have said this oh not again again one more thread
for engine oil but guys please bear this one too purpose of creating this thread is to share the range
of motorcycle engine oils available in market and for this i want your valuable co-operation as i would
share engine oils & their pics which obviously will show the specification but i have access to only few oils
which i have used or which are available in my city
i can't access all engine oils so that is why i request all of you if you have used an engine oil or you have pics of
bottle you should share here & share your review about that particular oil
Your sharing matters alot as i alone can't collect all info about engine oils available in market

As i just said in last line of first paragraph your co-operation is important in helping me out
to collect info about engine oils available in market but also i need your help in Engine oils subject As i am not expert in Oils
if we search on net this subject is too deep so want to know your info about these important terms in engine oils
this thread will be useless if it does not have any details info about specification terms
so kindly if you find some good info on net share here

    *API
    *JASO
    *Viscosity
*SAE Viscosity Numbers 10w40,20w40,20w50 or SAE40
    *Single Grade & Multi Grade
    *Mineral & Synthetic/Semi synthetic
Etc notify if there are some other important terms

The Sole purpose of this thread is to collect info about engine oil available in market
    *Specifications/price & *Picture

^Sharing some basic info which i know as par my bike

API in simple word an company which gives certificates of quality to engine oil
so always look for this API label oil but some manufactures recommends JASO
But most motorcycle manufactures in pakistan as the big one
AHl recommends to use engine Oil with API SG,SF,SE or higher grade
you should look your bike manual for the details about your bike

Viscosity of oil is shown in the SAE numbers
most oils nowadays available in market are multigrade
first number which is followed by W (winter) shows the oil viscosity at low temp:
lower this number thinner the oil be at lower temp:
2nd number shows the viscosity of oil at high temp 100c: higher the number thicker the oil
20w40 oil will remain less thick at 100c as compare to 20w50
my bike manual says 20w40 is good all rounder for pakistani conditions
but depending on the temp user can choose which oil suits engine more

Now Lets Start Sharing Some Engine Oil Brand Which I Know Or Remember

Well i used SGO 10W-40 for 1000Km. Now will use Zic 10W-40 also for 1000Km to get good idea about this oil. For next 1000Km, i have Shell AX5 15W-40 in my mind. (if i can find it easily here).
I hope after trying all these oils, i'll have my favourite by the end.
If still i don't, then may be i'll also have to contact liquy moly. Auto bro told they had 10W-40 in semisynthetic

The dealer sent you old sticker oil bottles, though I like the old bottle's stickers more... That was a better design in my opinion...

Well the nozzle and slow oil drain has one advantage... Ur bottle stays clean from out side and u can keep the bottle safely anywhere... Normal oil bottle release a lot if oil fumes after u open them and store the rest of oil... They attract dust particles too, but this one remains clean and non-messy.

One thing more ud observe is free and better acceleration of ur bike using this oil... Plus reduced noise near redline!

Yes I Have Observed It Bro MashAllah Bike Response Is Suberb
There Is Certainly Improvemnt In Acceleration & Yeah Bike Is Definitely More Relaxed On Full Throttle
This 100cc Engine Really Screams When Passes Over 80km/h But With LM It Was More Relaxed

I Have Completely Not Noticed That There Is Difference In Bottles If I Had
I Would Have Said Him To Send Me Bottles From Fresh Stock

    @amjad635
Dont worry bro, the bottle were changed just a few months back... 3,4 months back i guess... hence the stock is stil "fresh" to be sold safely When i went there he just had 2 new bottles displayed he gave one to me and one was still there, but he had plenty of old bottles... seems like he hadnt ordered the new stock yet or hasn't opened fresh pack? or is just trying to sale old stock first... which is legit and his right... as the oil has about 1 year shelf life.

Default Liqui Moly Racing 4t 20w50 Review

Guys Today Evening Went On Drive On My Pridor
Believe Me The Engine Is Running Very Smooth & As I Had Said
Will Keep Eye On Knocking Believe Me Knocking Is Gone From Bike
In Intentially Tried To Move Bike From 3rd Gear In Almost Steady Position
Still Bike Ran & Did Not Produce Any Knocking Sound I Tried In 4th Gear Too
Engine One Time Stopped But It Did Not Produce Any Knocking Sound
I Drove Bike At Slow Speed In High Gears Did Not Hear Any Knocking Sound

FINAL THOUGHTS ABOUT LIQUI MOLY (USING IN PRIDOR 100)

*Engine Has Become Smooth Improved Engine Response Acceleration
*Engine Is Relaxed On High Speed Full Throttle
*Gear Shifts Have Become Smooth & Gear Box Noise Is Gone Also Knocking Sound Is Gone

Same were my experience when I used it back in 2009. Engine and gear shifting totally becomes smooth and noiseless, acceleration increases, vibration gone. When I used it there was no pipe as you guys mentioned and the packing was also different.

My experience so far with LM

    UPDATE # 1 - After 400KM 4-9-2013
The oil has completely transformed the performance of the bike. I know these are big words but let me explain. First of all, bike shows responsiveness right from the beginning of when it's started. The warm-up period is very low. Engine noise is reduced to a large extent. Sprinter engine has a very distinctive gearbox noise, and the LM oil seems to have reduced its loudness. Now comes the impressive part. Previously, on top gear (4th), with the throttle twisted just a little bit(just enough to keep engine moving), bike used to go till 55KM/HR on the speedo. With the LM oil, at the same throttle position the speedo shows 70KM/HR. I mean at that speed the engine is doing no work at all, thanks to LM. Engine also revs very nicely to the red line without screaming. Also tried a small wheelie in first gear, the response is better as the engine revs faster on the oil.
About its ability to maintain viscosity at high temperature. Well i drove about 75KM at speeds of 70KM/Hr continuously (from my uni FAST Isb to chak shehzad back and forth). After reaching home i took out the dipstick and inspected oil. The engine was hot, but the oil was just as viscous as it is normally. Pani nai bana tha. So there you have it. LM is significantly better than local motorcycle oils. The fact that it has a 1500KM drain interval justifies its cost more than enough.

Eveybody having such a great experience with LM.
But why so much difference compared to our local oils?
May be our market is just filled with refurbished oils only?
I wanted to find AX5, so i checked shell website and found only one Shell pump mentioned in BWP. So i went to that pump only to make sure i get original suff. But bottle conditions of AX5 was suspicioius, it was looking like clearly refilled at some local station. Plus it also looked to me overfilled a little more than litre.
    Disappointed.

I got 1.15L from my LM too. I dont think overfilling counts against it but i went to metro and ax5 bottle conditions also put me in doubt so i didnt buy it

Yup supremely happy with the oil. On LM site they suggest 2000km drain interval for bikes with oil filter. But i think ill drain it after 1500KM.

For generator next time order formula super LM. Its cheaper and it'll have good quality as well
