The LM racing 4t 20w50 available in Pakistan is a mineral oil.Racing synth 4t 10w40 is not available due to low demand.Using fully synthetic oil in commuting rides is an OVER KILL,some of the engines are not even designed for fully synthetic oil reason being synthetic oil being more refined and its ability to leak through seals of motorcycles.
@guls777 this is good i buy from the same shop,3 dabay lay leta hn,they last for 4 oil changes.(750mlx4=3 litres)
Rupees 650 is perfectly reasonable for LM..I have tested all local oils and i have one word JUST PATHETIC,weird engine noise and clutch issues i have experienced all of them..
When i switch to LM at 2.5k kms,i instantly experienced low engine noise, great idling, cluth shifts uber smooth and the bike generally feels at ease. There is no reason whatsoever not to buy this great oil refined and packed in germany..Ajkal to 1.5 liter coke 80 ropay ki bik rahi hai ,,200 ropay aur daalnay say koi nuqsaan nai ho ga..LM ensures a longer life span of engine..The only feeling you might miss is the 20-40 quick response like AHL which quickly fades away in just 400 Kms.It is a lill heavy oil but provides better protection than a 20w40.
LM's drain interval varies as per motorcycle manufacturer,as a rule just drain it 500 kms before the recommended drain interval and you are good to go.i drain mine at 1.5k kms i.e i clock 500kms more per drain as compared to the avg local oils(1k kms) which costs me around 450pkr/oil change for my ride.
I have now clocked 11.8k kms and bike feels just as new.My driving habits are seasoned,my avg cruising speed is b/w 50-60 km/Hr and i rarely cross 70 Km/he on my CD-100.
additional note= whether the oil is 10w40 or 20w50,in winters you need the bike to idle for at-least 5 mins (without revving) before driving or use choke.10w40 also takes some time to reach optimum temperature, this is a general misunderstanding that 10w40 being thinner does not require idling. ALso 10w40 is rarely used in pakistan..The general requirement for cold start is the same for both oil grades.
