    Default Motorcycle Engine Oils

Aslam Alikum, Immediately seeing the title you may have said this oh not again again one more thread
for engine oil but guys please bear this one too purpose of creating this thread is to share the range
of motorcycle engine oils available in market and for this i want your valuable co-operation as i would
share engine oils & their pics which obviously will show the specification but i have access to only few oils
which i have used or which are available in my city
i can't access all engine oils so that is why i request all of you if you have used an engine oil or you have pics of
bottle you should share here & share your review about that particular oil
Your sharing matters alot as i alone can't collect all info about engine oils available in market

As i just said in last line of first paragraph your co-operation is important in helping me out
to collect info about engine oils available in market but also i need your help in Engine oils subject As i am not expert in Oils
if we search on net this subject is too deep so want to know your info about these important terms in engine oils
this thread will be useless if it does not have any details info about specification terms
so kindly if you find some good info on net share here

    *API
    *JASO
    *Viscosity
*SAE Viscosity Numbers 10w40,20w40,20w50 or SAE40
    *Single Grade & Multi Grade
    *Mineral & Synthetic/Semi synthetic
Etc notify if there are some other important terms

The Sole purpose of this thread is to collect info about engine oil available in market
    *Specifications/price & *Picture

^Sharing some basic info which i know as par my bike

API in simple word an company which gives certificates of quality to engine oil
so always look for this API label oil but some manufactures recommends JASO
But most motorcycle manufactures in pakistan as the big one
AHl recommends to use engine Oil with API SG,SF,SE or higher grade
you should look your bike manual for the details about your bike

Viscosity of oil is shown in the SAE numbers
most oils nowadays available in market are multigrade
first number which is followed by W (winter) shows the oil viscosity at low temp:
lower this number thinner the oil be at lower temp:
2nd number shows the viscosity of oil at high temp 100c: higher the number thicker the oil
20w40 oil will remain less thick at 100c as compare to 20w50
my bike manual says 20w40 is good all rounder for pakistani conditions
but depending on the temp user can choose which oil suits engine more

Now Lets Start Sharing Some Engine Oil Brand Which I Know Or Remember

So apparently, the 20W-50 Racing 4T is "Mineral Oil" and if anyone is looking for Fully Synthetic, then you'd need Racing Sync 4T which only come in 10W50 (no 20W-50).

So have you guys been buying the Mineral or fully synthetic?

@gul_s_777 this is good i buy from the same shop,3 dabay lay leta hn,they last for 4 oil changes.(750mlx4=3 litres)

Rupees 650 is perfectly reasonable for LM..I have tested all local oils and i have one word JUST PATHETIC,weird engine noise and clutch issues i have experienced all of them..

When i switch to LM at 2.5k kms,i instantly experienced low engine noise, great idling, cluth shifts uber smooth and the bike generally feels at ease. There is no reason whatsoever not to buy this great oil refined and packed in germany..Ajkal to 1.5 liter coke 80 ropay ki bik rahi hai ,,200 ropay aur daalnay say koi nuqsaan nai ho ga..LM ensures a longer life span of engine..The only feeling you might miss is the 20-40 quick response like AHL which quickly fades away in just 400 Kms.It is a lill heavy oil but provides better protection than a 20w40.

LM's drain interval varies as per motorcycle manufacturer,as a rule just drain it 500 kms before the recommended drain interval and you are good to go.i drain mine at 1.5k kms i.e i clock 500kms more per drain as compared to the avg local oils(1k kms) which costs me around 450pkr/oil change for my ride.

I have now clocked 11.8k kms and bike feels just as new.My driving habits are seasoned,my avg cruising speed is b/w 50-60 km/Hr and i rarely cross 70 Km/he on my CD-100.

additional note= whether the oil is 10w40 or 20w50,in winters you need the bike to idle for at-least 5 mins (without revving) before driving or use choke.10w40 also takes some time to reach optimum temperature, this is a general misunderstanding that 10w40 being thinner does not require idling. ALso 10w40 is rarely used in pakistan..The general requirement for cold start is the same for both oil grades.
Iss ka mtlb hai k .... LM 20w50 winter mn b chal skta hai......agr hum winter m 20w50 mnral ke jaga 10w40 syth use krn to is k kya advntages or disadvntges hon gy ... nd which one is best for bike in winter ..????? plz reply

Good luck brother with your flush as according my research engine flush totally damages the engine of bikes
So god luck but please my advice is that please search the net before doing anything stupid
I also wanted to flush my GS's engine before shifting to LM 4T but when i searched the net i concluded that it will not be safe
LM flush is only meant for use in cars

LM 20W50 is for summer but can be used in winter

not recommended in jan /feb though

LM synthetic 5W40 is more preferred or 10W40 .

synthetic engine oil is always preferred over mineral oils ( in this case LM 20W50 is mineral oil)

@SyedMoazzam no sir they got oil addtive for Motor bikes as well as mention below

@Eur0_2 sir how much km on the meter? if engine is new meaning not more

than 6000 km then dont go for the process do it on 9000 KM

and kindly go for the process under direct supervision and control of qualified mechanic

    Engine Flush:

With time even the best engine oil deteriorates and contaminates the engine with gums and varnish deposits that a simple oil change just cannot remove. Any new oil may be compromised and be contaminated by deposits left behind.

Extended service intervals are placing higher demands on today’s engine oils, making it now even more important to ensure that the new oil is given the optimum chance to protect the engine.

Most engine flushes are solvent-type products, they tend to reduce the lubrication of the oil. If this type of flush is left in the engine too long mechanical damage can occur and engine seals can affected. Damage may not be visible but is irreversible.

using the correct oil additive is neccessary for Engine flush so use LM oil additive with LM engine oil products onLY

    Motorcycle Engine Oils - 1657 200 100
    Racing Engine Flush

Cleaning fluid for clearing the engine interior of troublesome deposits. Dissolves sludge and lacquer formers. All types of oil-soluble and oil-insoluble residues are brought into suspension and removed during the next oil change. An engine which has been cleaned of deposits and contamination and which is then filled with fresh oil not contaminated with old impurities can develop its full performance characteristics.

    Intended use

Flushes out and cleans the oil circuits of motorcycles with fourstroke gasoline engines. The frequency of use is dependent on the degree of contamination of the oil circuit and on the quality of the oil used.

    how to use:

One 30 ml is sufficient for up to 1 liters of oil. Add the additive to the engine oil at running temperature before changing the oil. After adding the product, allow the engine to idle for approx. 10 minutes. Then change the oil and the filter.

the preferred one with MOS 2 anti friction

    Motorcycle Engine Oils - 1580 200 100
    Racing Bike-Oil Additiv

With MoS2-anti-friction. Scientifically proved reduction in wear of up to 50 %. Therefore extends the service life of the engine. The engine runs more efficiently and reduces the oil and fuel consumption. Increases engine smoothness, fewer malfunctions. Tested for compatibility with catalytic-converters.

    Intended use

Suitable for all 4-stroke and 2-stroke engines with separate lubrication. Can be used with wet multi-disc clutches. 125 ml is sufficient for 4 litres of engine oil.

there are two different LM products

one oil additive for car and other one is for motor bikes , using the correct one for your desired ride is what to do

and do it from Bike manufacturer service point under a qualified mechanic is necessary

remember these products are to be used with engine oil . in simple words it additive to engine oil which cleanse your engine deeply

One cant get clear picture from google search

    just ask LIQUI MOLY

LIQUI MOLY - Motor oils, Additives, Car care - Your request
